Toy Story of Terror
TV Guid has an update on the Toy Story Halloween Special half-hour short titled Toy Story of Terror featuring Jessie voiced by Joan Cusack set to air on ABC the Fall!
follows the adventures of the toys post-Toy Story 3, in which a fun road trip takes a very unexpected turn. “Bonnie is on a road trip to go see grandma with her mom and the toys are in the trunk,” producer Galyn Susman says. “Mom gets a flat tire and they have to spend the night at a motel and all kinds of chaos ensues.”While Terror will include Woody (Tom Hanks), Buzz (Tim Allen), Mr. Potato Head (Don Rickles) and Rex (Wallace Shawn), Jessie (Joan Cusack) will have a more prominent role in the special. “We’ve gotten to see a lot of development in Woody and in Buzz and we felt it was Jesse’s turn to really show some growth.” Susman says.

First Images of Disney Infinity Video game

Here is a sneak peek at the upcoming Disney/Pixar video games, Disney Infinity. The very first video game ever to incorporate Pixar characters. Check out these new images Polygon has dropped, more will be announced on January 15, 2013 at El Capitan Theatre, by Pixar’s John Lasseter and Disney Interactive’s John Pleasants.
Players “will assume the roles of characters from major Disney and Pixar franchises, including Toy Story, Cars, The Incredibles, and Wreck-it Ralph, by exploring a variety of open-world environments.
A rumors is circulating that gamer’s can unlock content by purchasing real-life figurines and scanning them through a NFC device.
Disney Infinity will be released on all of the major platforms including iOS and Android.
Steve Jobs @ SIGGRAPH 1995 – Video

How cool is this video of the late great, young Steve Jobs!
Check out a brief history of animation with Steve Jobs. A few month before Toy Story was released in 1995, Jobs was at the SIGGRAPH conference promoting the film and hyping up the future of computer generated animation through Pixar.

Toy Story’s Buzz Lightyear Inspires NASA’s Z-1 Prototype Spacesuit

So it looks like NASA has been gathering inspiration from Pixar! check out NASA’s next generation of spacesuits, which have a striking resemblance to Buzz Lightyear suit from the beloved Toy Story films.
The Z-1 Prototype Spacesuit and Portable Life Support System 2.0, produced for NASA by the David Clark Company, is white with fluorescent green stripes, and features a large, hemispherical transparent dome helmet.
Named one of Time magazine’s inventions of the year, the suit is designed to take astronauts into long missions into deep space.
The Z-1 is a prototype, has to under go more testing and probability wont be ready till 2017.

First Look: Toy Story Short – Partysaurus Rex

Pixar has released a couple of first look photos at their new Toy Story short film Partysaurus Rex. In the short Bonnie takes Rex into the bathtub with her. Rex is sick of being feared by the other toys. Rex puts his tiny arms to good use by turning on the water and getting the party going for those dried-out toys, which leads to a bubble-filled rave, complete with glow-in-the-dark toys making disco and dance music provided by Grammy-nominated electronica musician BT. Partysaurus Rex will be shown with Finding Nemo 3D on September 14, 2012. Check out more below.
Vinylmation Toy Story Mania Andy Series Vinyl Released At Tokyo Disney Resort

Toy Story as mentioned previously is huge in Japan, and the new Vinylmation Andy Series has recently released in Tokyo Disney Resort. In conjunction to the opening of the new Toy Story Mania attraction. The Andy Series features Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Jessie and the Alien, all of which are based on their owner, Andy’s drawings. Each vinyl has Andy stetched on to the bottom of the vinyl, as he does in the movie. Check out more pictures below. Which one is your favorite?
Live-Action Toy Story Videos

Here’s are a bunch of behind-the-scenes videos from The Live Action Toy Story Project! which inclide vidoes about “Scud” (whoes real name is Rubert) and “Fishing for Slinky”. The Live Action Pixar Toy Story movie, is shot-for-shot, with real people and real toys, maade by fans. There isn’t much to say about this you just have to watch the videos and be amazed. John Lasseter Talks About Pixar In 2013-2014

A recent interview with John Lasseter offered a detailed synopsis for Pixar’s upcoming “The Good Dinosaur” and the unnamed human mind film, directed by Bob Peterson and Pete Docter. Lasseter also confirms two original, 22-minute television specials starring the characters of Toy Story is in development. They will air either on ABC or the Disney Channel in October 2013 and Spring 2014. Also, Three new Toy Story Toons are in development according to a book industry e-catalogue from Disney Publishing Worldwide. Below you can read the comments made by John Lasseter about the “The Good Dinosaur.” Also I found a great behind the scenes 20 minute video of Toy Story, which has loads of Pixar insight below. I thought it would be something worthy of posting while on the topic of Toy Story. Check out the video below. Oh and I have to point out how cool is Lasseter’s office and do you see the Oswald The Lucky Rabbit figure? I wonder if that is a hint towards something!
