The Belgium Postal will be issuing a set of collectible and usable postage stamps showcasing some of the countries most noted lovable animated icons. Giving homage to Peyo’s little blue buddies The Smurfs and Hergé’s The Adventures of Tintin along with his dog Snowy. Not to mention there are other notable comic and cartoon characters that are also popular in Belgium in the stamp collection. These beautiful stamps are will be available starting September 2012 in Belgium. So if you have any friends in that area tell them to pick you a set. This is perfect addition for any collector of either Tintin of The Smurfs and these are limited to the year and will not be reproduced.

The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn – Blu-Ray Combo – Box Set Weta – Limited Edition Prestige
Even though the movie just hit US theaters this past weekend The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn, directed by Steven Spielberg and producer Peter Jackson (and from looks of it didn’t knock the socks off at the box-office) is already out on Blu-Ray in Europe with a complete limited edition box set including very special high quality resin figurines of Tintin and Snowy, which I think is worth more than Blu-ray set it’s self coming at a pre-sale price of 99,99 €. Regardless this exquisite gift and must for any die-hard Tintin fan. The set is scheduled for delivery starting February 27, 2012.
The Hergé Museum is dedicated to the Belguim comic artist Georges Prosper Remi also know as Hergé and creator of Tintin, has officially opened in Louvain-la-Neuve, Brussels, Belgium.
