Jim Henson's The Muppets receive Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame
Congratulations to Jim Henson’s The Muppets today they received one the highest honorable recognitions an entertainer can receive. Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, Fozzie, Gonzo, Animal, Pepe, Sweetums and Walter came together in front of the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood California to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. There were some other very special guest that showed up for commemoration for The Muppets Jim Henson’s children, Brian and Lisa Henson were there, along with the chairman of The Walt Disney Studios Rich Ross. The Muppets now will be forever cemented in our hearts and minds and for generations to come. Also just to note that this is the 2,466th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Muppets star is located right in front of the historic El Capitan Theatre. Check out the video of The Muppets speech/commentary too funny I love love love Pepe the King Prawn. Too funny and very hard to find online but here it is the controversial video of the The Muppets Barber Shop Quartette singing Nirvana’s Smells Like Teen Spirit. While cutting Jack Blacks hair, check out the video below. The reason why there is so much hype surrounding this video, is that former wife Courtney Love who was married to the late Kurt Cobain when he committed suicide in 1994. issued a statement that The Muppets “Rape” the song. Meaning the parody did the original song no justice. Obviously Courtney has it out for The Muppets… or just needed some attention. If anything The Muppets were paying homage to a musical talent that will never be replaced. What do you think?

It’s official Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy will present at this year’s 84th annual Academy Awards on February 28, 2012 on ABC. Not sure which category they will be announcing but I can’t wait to see them live on stage. This appearance marks The Muppets fifth time at the yearly movies kudosfest which will take place Sunday, February 26th, at the Kodak Theater in Los Angeles. Fans are also hoping for a surprise musical performance of “Man or Muppet” nominated for best original song will be in the show. Personally this is my favorite time of year when all the award shows come out cause you don’t know what type of live wackiness will stir up. Check out the Man or Muppet song below!
