South Park Pays Homage to Record Store Day with Exclusive “San Diego” and “Gay Fish” 7-inch Vinyl
Its been a while since we’ve heard or seen anything from the guys over at Comedy Central’s South Park. So it came to a surprise that this week they are celebrating Record Store Day (April 20, 2013) by releasing a limited-edition vinyl record in conjunction with the annual day which has been paying homage to the independent record stores since 2007. The 7-inch vinyl, record is limited to 2,000 copies and features two songs from the series, “San Diego” and “Gay Fish,” with Stan Marsh’s bare butt on the records label. “San Diego” was first heard in the Season 16 episode “Butterballs,” while the Kanye West-inspired “Gay Fish” was heard in the Season 13 episode “Fishsticks.” Also today is the last day to enter for your chance to win the “Gay Fish” / “San Diego” vinyl signed by Matt and Trey head over to the South Park site to play the Record Store Day Quiz and enter the exclusive vinyl! Make sure you don’t miss an all-new episode of South Park tonight (October 17, 2012), titled “Going Native” on Comedy Central at 10/9c. Butters starts acting out at school, his parents realize it is time to tell him why he is not like all of the other kids. He must travel to a foreign place to learn the ways of his people.
