What was Hannibal Lector doing hanging out with Mickey Mouse? lets hope he wasn’t hungry for rodent that day. Ok I am kidding as well all know Hannibal was only portrayed by the great Sir Anthony Hopkins from Wales who made a very special visit to the Disneyland park last week while celebrating Easter with his family. Mickey Mouse to stop by to greet the screen legend at Sleeping Beauty Castle. You will be able to see Hopkins talents in the upcoming Marvel movie “Thor: The Dark World,” opening November 8, 2013 as he returns his role as Thor’s father, Odin.

I don’t normally post about custom vinyls, only cause there are so many of them! but this Happy Camper custom KAWS Companion Mickey Mouse by JC Rivera I have to admit is pretty nice. My only quam is that I think it would have looked better with matte paint.

Tatton Park Antiques and Fine Art Fair, in Cheshire is selling some amazing original drawings of Mickey Mouse from 1933. Part of an extraordinary collection of original Disney drawings that have just gone on display.
The collection belongs to a “well known”, but undisclosed, former Disney storyboard artist, who worked at the company in the 1930s and 1940s.

This History of Oswald the Lucky Rabbit is an odd one. Oswald was created in the 1920′s way before Mickey Mouse was even a thought. During this time Universal Studios wanted to get into the business of cartoon Disney‘s distributor Charles Mintz suggested that a character be created and sold off to universal. Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks co created Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, then signed a contract with Universal Studios “leading” the creation of Oswald to Universal as their first cartoon series. There was a small conflict the following year with Mintz and Disney which left, Disney on the look for another job. In the spring of 1928 Disney was traveling back from New York City after hopes of negotiating a more profitable contract with Mintz which did not work out. On his long was home he had the idea to create another character, he quickly contacted Iwerks about the new idea and the two would go on to develop a new cartoon in secret. Which would later be known as Plane Crazy, the first Mickey Mouse Cartoon. Walt Disney archives director Becky Cline and Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two creative director Warren Spector talk about the history of the Oswald The Lucky Rabbit character in the video below. Epic Mickey 2 has a release date of October 1, 2012 you can pre-order it through my site via amazon below.

But besides chocolate there is just Spring-time warm feeling and waves of pastel colors seem to make everything clam. And Disney is never shy on celebrating the joy! Ok so maybe by now you can tell I have a thing for Disney pins or pins in general. So to jump start Easter Disney has come up with a set of Easter pins just in time for the holidays. The pins released for the Easter holiday, include a new Mickey Mouse icon made to look like a painted egg and a deluxe lanyard with a cute Easter design. The pins you can pick up and Disney Park shops.
