ABC has just released a preview for its new upcoming TV series SHE-RA! inspired by Filmation 80′s cartoon and toys produced by Mattel, She-Ra: Princess of Power is the alter ego of Princess Adora and the twin sister of Prince Adam/He-Man. In the new ABC series She-Ra deals with life issues such as the death of arch nemeses/lover Skeletor, children, her brother He-man and a near death experience. Ok just kidding this is just a spoof by Funny or Die staring Kylie Minogue. Would be cool to see She-Ra make a comeback one way or another. Check out the fake promo below.

Royal Caribbean International has set sail with Mattel into the high seas, bringing the the world’s most popular doll aboard! The all-new Barbie Premium Experience invites girls to join Barbie on their cruise vacation. The event promotes loads of girly activities in the cruise line’s award-winning Adventure Ocean youth program. Girls participating in the experience will get, a Barbie stateroom, adorned in the doll’s signature style, featuring keepsakes: a Barbie doll, blanket and pillowcase, tote bag, toothbrush and toiletries bag. The they will be invited to the Tiaras & Teacups party to enjoy a palate of pink pastries, pink lemonade, while having fun learning tips on table etiquette. Mermaid dance class where they will learn dance moves from the hit movie Barbie in a Mermaid Tale 2. Bring out the inner Fashion Designer with a workshop where they get sketch and create their very own Barbie doll fashions. Here I have complied (with a little help) a list of the top 20 exclusive San Diego Comic Con toys. These are some of the hottest and the rarest toys in the industry. The resale value on the went through the roof right after the Comic Con. And those lucky to have profited from them or where just lucky enough to have added them to their collection. Left everyone leaving the San Diego Comic Con very happy. The list goes from 1 to 20, 20 being the number 1 toy of SDCC 2012. I hope you enjoy the list it took me decades to do ( not literally) but if you feel something else should have been on the list leave me a comment!
Tiny Titans SDCC 2012 Convention Bus Set
Mattel is releasing a set Tiny Titans: Beast Boy, Raven, Starfire, Cyborg, and Robin ridding in their exclusive “Convention Bus” all the way to the 2012 San Diego Comic Con. This is a super cool set with really cool packaging, giving you the idea that the Titans are going on a field trip to Comic Con. The packaging incorporates other Titans characters like: Miss Martian, Wondergirl, Bumble Bee and the Super Pets. I really want this set it will be given away at the Mattel booth at the 2012 SDCC. Not sure the exact size but they are small. Check out more pictures below.

Life-Sized Barbie and Ken Dream House by Heather Benning
Ok so not sure why this has been coined a Barbie and Ken “Dream House.” But maybe others see it? this reconstructed 1960′s life-sized “doll house” is located North Dakota. The idea behind turning this shack into a Dollhouse comes from Heather Benning this structure is just one of many large-scale art installations Benning has constructed. This project took about 6 months to complete starting in 2008. The farm-house had been abandoned since 1968. Which is so strange considering it had just been built. The artist tore off one entire side of the house, re-plastered and painted the walls, installed lighting and 50’s retro furnishings, then replaced the tore side of the house with Plexiglas so people can see inside. Pretty creepy. I don’t know this house looks a little scary to be a Barbie house. Though the idea is quite nice.

Mega Bloks Plans to Steal Away Some of LEGO Sales
The other building blocks Mega Bloks this past week has teamed ans signed a licensing deal with Mattel. Mega Bloks will be taking on the task in producing construction sets based off Hot Wheels and Barbie in 2013. This is good news for little girls that wish to build like little boys but want to keep that house play with Barbie’s. But is this a way for Mega Bloks to steal away some LEGO Friends sales though the new Barbie license sets? hmmm….

Mattel and Disney/Pixar Cars die-cast exhibit at the Petersen Automotive Museum
Disney/Pixar Cars die-cast exhibit at the Petersen Automotive Museum created by Mattel is now open until April 2012. The Cars exhibit showcases the history of the Disney/Pixar Cars in a die-cast collection. Mattel produced more than 200 million die-cast “Cars” featuring more than 500 unique designs representing many of the beloved characters from the Cars animated film.
