LeSportsac and Disney have teamed up to produce a collection of handbags, totes and accessories inspired by the art of Mary Blair from Disney’s It’s a Small World. By combing the bright aesthetic of LeSportsac and the mid-century artwork of Mary Blair, gives each bag a whimsical look. The collection features five seasonal themes inspired by a specific country. Starting with Tahiti (pictured) the set includes two graphic totes and a range of 12 styles in two vibrant prints. Disney has announced August 14, 2009 as the official US release date of Ponyo on a Cliff by the Sea. Directed by Hayao Miyazaki, director of films Howl’s Moving Castle, Spirited Away and My Neighbor Totoro, Ponyo tells the story of a goldfish who’s dream is to become human who befriends little boy name Sosuke.
