Yolandi Visser x Weird Girl – Who’s More Freakish?
One of my fans found this cool split screen photo of Yolandi Visser from Die Antwoord and Tim Burton’s Frankenweenie character “Weird Girl” (voiced by Catherine O’Hara). “Weird Girl” is an very eccentric girl and one of Victor’s classmates, who is obsessed with the psychic predictions of her cat, Mr. Whiskers. Yolandi Visser is a south African singer/rapper known for her animated personalities. I did some digging and found out the connections get weirder. Sofia Coppola played the live-action “Weird Girl” aka Anne Chambers (as Domino) in the 1984 Frankenweenie and as you can see Yolandi and Anne Chambers both have a Hello Kitty infatuation. See below.

Just thought I would share this cool picture I found of hip hop musical group Die Antwoord from Cape Town, South Africa. Featuring popular members all deck out in cartoon pop culture nostalgia gear. Check out Ninja wearing Ren and Skimpy sweatshirt, and underneath a SpongeBob t-shirt drinking out of a SpongeBob SquarePants coffee mug and Yo-Landi Vi$$er wearing Sonic the Hedge Hog jacket The group is known for their hit song “Enter the Ninja.” Do you think these two are really into watching Saturday morning cartoons and playing video games?
