Pixar’s Brave Wins Golden Globe

Congratulations to Pixar’s Brave who sanged a Golden Globe on last night for Best Animated Feature Film. Making over $535.4 million in theaters worldwide, Brave takes the title of the most popular animated movie at the box office in 2012.
Director Mark Andrews said, “Holy cow. What an amazing company to be in. 2012 was an amazing year for animation. I would like to thank Brenda Chapman for coming up with this amazing story; John Lasseter, Ed Catmull, Jim Morris, Andrew Stanton, Pete Docter—my bosses, colleagues, peers and friends who gave me all the support, my incredible producer Katherine Sarafian, Bob Iger and everyone at Disney for being brave to do this film with this amazing heroine at the center of the film. If I could only I could from behind my Macbook in Brooklyn change my saturated black waves into messy red radiant locks and gallop on my trusty steed in the Highlands of Scotland. Like Miss France 2012 Delphine Wespiser embellished her look to match the rambunctious nature of Merida. As she practiced perfecting her archery skills which could come in handy if there was every another French x British war. I’m kidding! She does make a beautiful Merida right? Her mahogany curles rock! Pixar Short: ‘Legend of Mor’du’ Stills Sneak Peek

Check out two high resolution stills from Pixar’s animated short titled ‘Legend of Mor’du’ which will be featured on the Brave (Five-Disc Ultimate Collector’s Edition: Blu-ray 3D / Blu-ray / DVD + Digital Copy), available through my site via Amazon with a ship date of November 13, 2012. SDCC Exclusive: Dark Ink “Change Your Fate” by Michael DePippo

Check out this San Diego Comic Con exclusive, Dark Ink tapped artist Michael DePippo minimal poster entitled Change Your Fate. Inspired by the blockbuster animated film from Pixar/Disney’S Brave featuring Princess Merida. unfortunately the pre-order for this is over but maybe there will be a copy or two still for sale at SDCC.
Brave “Easter Eggs” Revealed: Pixar Pizza Planet Truck and Monsters University – Sulley

Have you seen latest Disney/Pixar movie Brave yet? Well then you are missing out on some secret gems hidden within the film its self. Pixar “Easter eggs” as they are called and from my understanding this is a long-standing Pixar film tradition. Their top “Easter egg” is the iconic “Pixar Pizza Planet Truck.” Also in the Brave film you will also catch a glimpse of Monsters University character Sully hidden with in the wood. Other Pixar’s feature films have included other hidden gems referencing others. Oh and one more thing if you are familiar John Ratzenberger, has appeared in all of Pixar’s films too. In Brave Ratzenberger puts on a Scottish accent and voices Gordon, a guard. Check the picture below and try to find the hidden gem.

Pixar x USAopoly Brave Monopoly Board Game Giveaway

So weird I was thinking about Monopoly just yesterday and wondering why they hadn’t come out with a movie themed Monopoly in a while then I see, they have! The collaborative forces of Disney/Pixar and USAopoly have come together to create the new themed, Monopoly: Brave Collector’s Edition board game. Giving the classic traditional game a new brave twist, inspired by the latest animated film from Pixar. I actually remember seeing the concept for this game, at this years past New York Toy Fair but was not allowed to take pictures of it since it was only a concept on display. In the Brave version of the game, the tokens are represented by a crown, bow, target, quiver, cake, and sword. There is also “Fate” and “Wishes” cards to determine your move on the board and your fate of the game. Monopoly: Brave Collector’s Edition is on sale now.
