First Look at Marvel’s Iron Man & Hulk: Heroes United – Animation

As you see its a comic day for me, there is tons of comic related new popping off today! Marvel Animation Studios debuted three images from their upcoming film Iron Man & Hulk: Heroes United. This hybrid computer-generated and hand-drawn animation, will make its debut on home video on April 23, 2013. The film will be about the pair of heroes fighting the living energy villain Zzzax. Check out the stills below.
Subway – Eggsical Animation by McKinney

I had no clue that last month was Subway Restaurant was celebrating their birthday month. Subway commissioned ad company McKinney to create a scrumptious video featuring animated fresh veggies, highlighting the day and the life of their Egg & Cheese sandwich. A musical number staring an animated egg whose one wish is live more than an “up at dawn and them I’m gone” life. Satisfied living way past breakfast he still ends up in a frying pan but at least he is happy.
MTV “Bro Down” Animation by James Jarvis and Richard Kenworthy

MTV will premiere three new animated films later this week featuring first British born illustrator James Jarvis and Richard Kenworthy to create “Bro Down”. A clip of a blue skateboarding character, doing a backside 180 kickflip as his buddies gasp when he lands it. Make sure you keep an eye out for the additional shorts directed by Arnaud & Jerome and Buck NY. Watch the entire clip at Creative Review.
Priit Pärn @ Spectacle Theater in Williamsburg September 27 – 29, 2012

One of the most influential artists in animation, Estonian animator Priit Pärn is headed to the Big Apple! this is his first time since 1989. Pärn will be making this rare appearance in Brooklyn at the Spectacle Theater in Williamsburg September 27 – 29, 2012 tickets are $5.00 USD. The event is a six-part screening program featuring a selection of his post-soviet era films. Along with contemporary animated shorts by over a dozen artists from around the world whose work has been inspired by Priit Pärn. Participating animators include: Koji Yamamura (Japan), Igor Kovalyov (Russia/USA), Dylan Hayes (USA) Ami Lindholm (Finland), Christy Karacas (USA) and many more.
R.I.P. Joe Kubert

Sad news today Polish/Jewish born Jacob Kubert who emagrated to Brooklyn NY at age two months, known for his comics and the graphic novel Yossel. Kubert wrote, “I got my first paying job as a cartoonist for comic books when I was eleven-and-a-half or twelve years old. Five dollars a page. In 1938, that was a lot of money”. Kubert was inducted into the Harvey Awards’ Jack Kirby Hall of Fame in 1997, and Will Eisner Comic Book Hall of Fame in 1998. Joe Kubert died on August 12, 2012, three weeks short of his 86th birthday. He will be missed.
Archer x Bob’s Burgers Crossover

Exclusive news dropped today that Archer an animated TV series created by Adam Reed for the FX network, Next season will include a Bob’s Burgers crossover episode. I am personally not familiar with the animated comedy series Archer but maybe this will get me interested! H. Jon Benjamin who voices for FX’s Archer and Fox’s Animation Domination Bob’s Burgers and word you will be hearing a lot more of him in this exclusive episode, where he will be voicing, ISIS agent Sterling Archer and grill-master Bob Belcher.
