Walmart’s Advance Screening – Man of Steel

Walmart and Warner Bros announced they are giving fans a chance to see “Man of Steel” before it hits theaters! Tickets for this advance screening of “Man of Steel,” go on sale in more than 3,700 Walmart stores starting at 8am on May 18, 2013 and will take place at selected local theaters nationwide at 7 p.m. on June 13, 2013. Fans that go see the advance screening can hashtag #SeeSteelFirst and give their opinions of the highly anticipated movie. For more information and to view the selected theaters visit Walmart.com.
This Week’s Entertainment Weekly Cover Features Henry Cavill as the Man of Steel

Henry Cavill who plays Superman in Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel film will grace the cover of the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly out this week! the film also stars Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Antje Traue, Ayelet Zurer, Christopher Meloni, Michael Kelly, Harry Lennix and Richard Schiff. The Man of Steel hits theaters in 3D, 2D and IMAX theaters June 14, 2013. You can also DL Entertainment Weekly magazine iPad edition.
As a young boy Clark Kent learns that he has extraordinary powers and is not of this Earth. As a young man, he journeys to discover where he came from and what he was sent here to do. But the hero in him must emerge if he is to save the world from annihilation and become the symbol of hope for all mankind. The article goes on to explain some minor plot elements from the film, including the fact that Kryptonite will not be featured in any form whatsoever.
Annie Awards 2012 Winners +Texas Avery Award Winner June Foray

The International Animated Film Society, ASIFA-Hollywood, has announced the 2012 winners of its Annie Awards were last night and here is the complete list of winners. Also one of the highlights of the event was Terry Gilliam accepting his Winsor McCay Award via video and the very cool special Texas Avery Award statue for life achievement to June Foray best known as the voice of animated characters as Lucifer (Cinderella), Rocky the Flying Squirrel, Granny, Natasha Fatale and Magica De Spell.
Beware the Batman – New Animated Series hits Cartoon Network

DC Comics and Warner Bros. Animation, along with Cartoon Network prepare to release a new half-hour action-adventure series based on the world’s greatest detective, Beware the Batman. Which takes a different approach to the classic Dark Knight franchise, with the show featuring Batman’s core characters facing off against villains that have never been seen in animated form before like Anarky, Professor Pyg, Mister Toad, and Magpie. Also in this series Alfred Pennyworth is former secret agent, and Batman teams up with a lethal swordswoman, named Katana. The show will feature cutting-edge CGI visuals, and will be included in Cartoon Network’s DC Nation programming block in summer 2013.
I am definitely looking forward to this, I have the original comic book.

Warner Bros. Forms Animation Unit

Warner Bros. starts off 2013 with some big news. The company has decided to bring back its feature animation film division, kicking it off with The Lego 3D Movie set to release 2014, Storks in 2015, and Smallfoot in 2016.
I am excited to hear there news maybe some new 3D Looney Tunes productions will on their way.
