Ah so I kinda totally forgot about this event as I’m still trying to catch up on all the current news. But If you are in New York City today there is a very cool Uniqlo event celebrating Metal Gear’s 25th Anniversary. So of course there will be a collaborative of t-shirts from Uniqlo and Metal Gear. What will be special about this collection is it will be Uniqlo is hosting an Autograph Sessions with game designer Hideo Kojima and artist Yoji Shinkawa! The store you can find the Autograph Sessions is at 53rd Street and 34th Street Flagship Store: 31 West 34th Street, bet. 5th and 6th Avenue. So hurry these there is still time to get an official autograph it starts at 4:00PM – 6:00PM don’t delay! But even if you miss the Autograph Session you can still purchase one of the limited edition Metal Gear t-shirts. Oh yeah and one more thing there is a small disclosure you have to buy a minimum $30.00 USD In order to get these coveted VIP autographs. SDCC 2012: Hasbro x Marvel Uncanny X-Force Marvel Legends Exclusive 3 Pack
Ok I am a little bummed that finally this year I applied to SDCC and I did not get my acceptance letter yet and even if I did would I not have the ability to do so, i.e. hotel air flight. Anyway I still will be posting highlights from the event. So with out further adieu I would like to show you the Hasbro Marvel collaboration featuring Legends Uncanny X-Force 3 Pack. Mezco Domo Bobbleheads and Action Figures
As seen at this past New York Toy Fair back in February, I got to see the debut of Mezco new line featuring Domo Bobbleheads and Action Figures. Which is already generating lots of Buzz! Not set to hit retailers till later this Year, the line will include specialty Domo bobbleheads, clip-on figures, action figures, and wind-up walking toys. Domo is an international personality he is known as the mascot of Japanese public broadcaster NHK and has quickly catapulted into one of the internet’s biggest sensations. I love Lego’s and these mini documentaries that PBS Off Book puts out and the latest of all the ones they have put out, is getting a ton of hits! The mini documentary features LEGO’s one of the most beloved toys in the world and how they have evolved from simple childhoods toy to an art form. In this episode you meet three LEGO artists Sean Kenney, Alex Kobbs and Nathan Sawaya who have made beautiful mosaics, amazing stop-motion videos, thoughtful sculptures, and have turned these tiny building blocks into a true artistic medium. PBS Off book has been really putting together some great mini documentaries I’m hooked! the latest and I think so far the greatest is about the fan art community. Which is one of the most creative and active online communities. Junior artist take pop culture stories and nostalgic icons mixing and infusing them into new adventures and unexpected relationships. Japanese toy company Takara TOMY has released an all-new video promotion some of their latest Pokémon inspired large-sized electronic toys. Featuring popular Pokémon characters Oshawott, Pikachu, and I don’t know the other two guys. From the looks of it these smart toys react to movement and respond to sound.
