The contest invites families to create a simple, one-minute video that’s sweet like “hunny,” full of wonder, or funny, to share this loveable bear’s story in a creative way through video, fun props, Pooh plush toys, puppets, blankets or any other Pooh item you would like. From April 22 through May 15, 2013, videos can be submitted online at DisneyStore.com/PoohStoryteller or from any mobile device. Japan probably has the best postal stamps in the world don’t you think? the upcoming stamp collection features “Doraemon” a children’s comic by Fujiko Fujio. Part of the “Anime Hero Heroine Series” the set celebrates the manga series about an intelligent robotic cat named Doraemon, who travels back in time from the 22nd century to aid a pre-teen boy, Nobita Nob. Seems as if Doraemon has become Japans unofficial mascot! You will be able to buy these stamps through the Japan Post starting around July 4, 2013.

The new Star Wars Weekends logo will be found around Disney’s Hollywood Studios every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from May 17-June 9, 2013. This poster is particularly special since 2013 marks the 30th anniversary of “Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi” — the film that featured the Battle of Endor. I don’t wait in line especially for movies. I have little patients or the attention span. In line I was naturally feeling a mixture of anticipation and anxiety. I had been blogging about The Dark Knight Rises for a year and half now following its every step. Now it was all coming to an end, it almost felt surreal. It was hard to famish the idea of not knowing when another Batman movie would release. The Batman and Robin movie was 7 years senior to Batman Begins. Do I really have to wait that long again? I didn’t know what to expect and when to expect the next one. I was projecting high levels of disappointment, I just wanted to sit down and get this over all ready.

Finally seated in the back top row the previews can’t end fast enough. The only interesting preview was definitely the Superman preview which told us nothing really. Still cool to see and have something to look forward too. I know Christopher Nolan is on board!

I already came into this film knowing that the storyline was inspired by the Batman comic book series Knightfall (1993), which debuted the villain Bane (a comic which I own) So I was eager to see how this monster villain would re-incorporate himself back into Nolan’s Gotham.

The lights dimmed and the Dark Knight begin to Rise! there I am watching a panoramic overview of Gotham City (New York City) buildings and scenery that are so familiar to me. Eight years after the death of Harvey Dent/Two Face Gotham emerges a much safer city. Celebration takes place at Wayne Manor, there you are introduced to the captivating cat-burglar Selina Kyle who made a purrrfect entry with her lap cat demur. But quickly shifting to a kitten ready to play when she is caught with her head in the fish bowl by a crippling Bruce Wayne. Then the cat and mouse (I mean bat) begin to play.

Selina escapes Wayne Manor with Bruce’s fingerprints which she lifted from a safe along with a set of pearls that had belonged to Bruce’s mother. Which gave Bruce incentive to track her down. Selina sells the fingerprints to Bane’s terrorist group. Bane known in Knightfall as the “The Man Who Broke the Bat”. Takes a similar but different background than the comics. But still wears a creepy mask that dispenses anaesthetic to ease the pain of an old injury.

Commissioner Gordon praises a young officer named John Blake who later is appointed to detective. Who ends up knowing Bruce Wayne’s true identity and urges him with terrorist group at bay that he come out of retirement and resume his role as Batman.

Bane is able to bankrupt Wayne Enterprises with Bruce’s finger prints, which forces Bruce to entrust longtime friend and love interest Miranda Tate (a wealthy philanthropist) his remaining assets which includes a energy reactor/ project, originally shut down after it was discovered it could be used as a nuclear weapon.

Alfred Pennyworth retires he can’t stand by and support Bruce making his deathbed 9or his bed in any manor) by continuing to be The Batman.

Batman needs Catwoma to get to Bane and in exchange he offers her a “clean slate” but this cunning cat betrays Batman and leads him in a trap. Bane breaking Batman’s back (as depicted in Knightfall) is imprisoned in the same prison that Bane spent the majority of his life in.

Bane has unlocked all of Bruce/Batman’s secret toys and confiscated them from Fox.

Batman while in prison is forced to hear news of his city in the grips of Bane’s army. Batman learns the history of Bane’s link to the League of Shadows (The same organization that trained Batman to be a ninja). And of a story of the only child to have ever escaped from the prison, the child of Ra’s al Ghul. (The same villain who tried to take apart Gotham in the Batman Begins)

Back in Gotham, Bane is blowing up party of the city so the city is trapped along with trapping the entire police force underground.

No one is allowed to leave or enter Gotham City or it will be blown to pieces.

The Scarecrow, and other Gotham degenerates set up mock trials for the wealthy and important people of Gotham sentencing them to a fatal fates.

Batman locked in prison now for months slowly recovers from his injuries and makes the same escape as the young child did prior to him. He returns to Gotham to save his city and save Fox and Miranda who are closely watched by Bane.

After freeing the police officers he is able to weaken Bane so he can tell him where the nuclear reactor is. But stabbed in the back (side) by Miranda, who reveals her true identity as Talia al Ghul. Protected by Bane, she plans to finish her father’s work by destroying Gotham. This Miranda character is a bit odd in the comic series doesn’t she become Bruce’s wife and has a child with him?

Then a bunch of intense craziness happens trying to stop the reactor and get the detonator back. Which leads Batman to attach the core reactor to his aircraft and flies off into the ocean, so that the bomb detonates a safe distance from Gotham.

As Gotham rebuilds Batman is honoured as a hero and Bruce Wayne is publicly declared dead.

Alfred gains control of Bruce’s estate, with Wayne Manor turned into a home for orphaned children.

Blake quits the police force and is left a bag mysterious bag with Blake’s full name “Robin” along with co-ordinates to the Bat Cave. Hinting towards the rise of a new Knight Wing? Dark Knight? Batman? – I have to say this part gave me so much hope in a series of films staring Joseph Gordon-Levitt he with out a doubt, fits the part as Robin perfectly, even down to his look.

Alfred visits his favorite cafe in Florence and sees Bruce with Selena drinking coffee at another table.

Both me and my boyfriend eagerly left the theater with non-stop praise for the film even with a hour trip back to Brooklyn! This movie is a must see!
