Young Tim Burton @ Walt Disney Animation Studios

This why the internet is cool check out this video of a young petrified and bewilder Tim Burton at the Walt Disney Animation studios. Timothy William Burton started working at Disney at the age of 23 and his first animation project was The Fox and the Hound (1981). Below is a short clip of Burton at Disney in the 80′s.

“At Disney, I almost went insane,” he said. “I really did. I don’t ever want to get that close to that certain kind of feeling that I had. Who knows what a nervous breakdown is? Or who knows what going off the edge is? I don’t want to get that close again. No. 1 is, I was just not Disney material. I could just not draw cute foxes for the life of me. I couldn’t do it. I tried. I tried and tried. The unholy alliance of animation is you are called upon to be an artist, but on the other hand, you are called upon to be a zombie factory worker. And for me, I could not integrate the two. Also, at the time they were making kind of [s-----] movies. And it took them five or six years to make a movie. There’s that cold, hard fact: Do you want to spend six years of your life working on The Fox and the Hound? There’s a soul-searching moment when the answer is pretty clear.”

tim burton the killers

Here is a behind the scenes look into the making of the Killers x Tim Burton music video titled “Here With Me,” shot entirely on location in Blackpool UK.

Burton, give his usual mixed media effect by combination black-and-white imagery with a dash of creepiness, likeness worthy of Alfred Hitchcock’s caliber.

The story follows actor Craig Roberts obsession with a wax doll based on his favorite performer played by Winona Ryder.

The Killers x Tim Burton x Winona Ryder - Official Music Video - Here With Me

So here is the official The Killers x Tim Burton music video titled Here With Me, featuring none-other than Winona Ryder in manikin form. Also staring Craig Roberts from Submarine.

Directed by Burton and filmed entirely in Blackpool UK, Here With Me is about a young man’s romance with Winona Ryder’s character (which looks like a flashback from Edward Scissorhands) but there is a twist at the end which resembles a similar realm to Burton’s Oyster Boy poems.

Very inspiring I would love to see a Tim Burton x My Little Pony crossover, wouldn’t you?
