Fafi x Undiz

Fafi x Undiz

French street artist Fafi from the city of Toulouse has been plastering her voluptuous females called the “Fafinettes” in the streets of cities all over the world since the early 90′s. Since then Fafi has collaborated with companies such as Adidas, LeSportsac, Coca Cola and many more. Fafi’s latest venture is with Undiz.com a European underwear company for a colorful line of panties, bras, boxers, boy shorts and camisoles. My personal favorite is the black and white comic theme set! These limited edition pieces are available online for pre-order and international shipping! What do you think of Fafi?

OriginalFake: KAWS Companion - Resting Place
Check out the preview for the new upcoming OriginalFake KAWS Companion entitled “Resting Place.” Unlike majority of the Companion toy, releases that feature a standing Companion. This one has a more relaxed, sitting style, similar to maybe the “thinking position” was first to come to mind. Half of the Companions body is a diagram of of his meaty skeletor insides while the other half is flesh and dressed. The first release will be made through a lucky draw. Tickets will be available starting at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, August 31, 2012 at the OriginalFake Store in Aoyama, Tokyo.

Ron English: Powerpuff Girls – Propaganda Bubbles

Ron English: Powerpuff Girls - Propaganda Bubbles
Continuing with the street-art theme from the post. I found out that Ron English latest Propaganda victim is none other than Bubbles from the hit TV series The Powerpuff Girls. Created by Craig McCracken in the early 90′s the show ran on Walt Disney Television (1998-2002) and then Cartoon Network Studios (2002-2005). I was quite sad when the show ended I miss that whole Cartoon Network block especially Samurai Jack. Anyway the Ron English creation makes Miss Bubbles the once precious, sensitive one made up of sugar, into a strikingly more voluptuous and alienated creature. I am not sure when this piece hits stores as of yet but I will keep you posted. I’m sure knowing English’s style there will be a few different variations to this collectors toy. I also remember a while back that English did an Abject Expressionism rendering of Blossom (posted below) I guess he has a thing for these girls!

Leon Keer Pac-Man 3D Sidewalk-Chalk Mural

Leon Keer Pac-Man Sidewalk-Chalk Mural
Leon Keer is back on the streets…literally. You may recognize Leon Keer‘s name from the “NO REAL THAN YOU ARE”, “Ego Leonard” scandal. When a 8-foot-tall, 100-pound fiberglass statue Lego Man was discovered on the Siesta Key Beach in Florida last November it made local and national headlines. Keer was in the area doing another street-art sidewalk-chalk mural of an army of 3D LEGO men when he was linked to the plot. His current sidewalk-chalk mural (shown above) is in Venlo, The Netherlands. Inspired by 80′s popular Arcade game Pac-Man. Again he uses the street as his canvas and chalk as his medium. To make this incredible 3D Pac-Man street-mural. Fantastic. Check out more pictures below.

John Kricfalusi x Stussy Tee Shirt Collection 2012
Long time street-wear/skateboarding company Stussy and Canadian animator John Kricfalusi (a.k.a John K) These two nostalgic icons of my 80′s/90′s youth have teamed up to produce a new line of retro graphic t-shirts. Based off Kricfalusi’s The Ren & Stimpy Show from 1991 which premiered on Nickelodeon’s “Nicktoons” along with Rugrats and Doug. The shirts drew inspiration from the in-show commercials which played within the Ren & Stimpy show. The collection is now available online and in store through Stussy outlets. There are four shirts in the collection, all come in black and white variations: Trust The Rat Tee; Chainsaw Tee; Kaspar Tee; Sody Surf Tee. Check out the full collection below.
