If you know me by now you have probably figured out I am a huge fan of stop-motion animation. So the build I was preparing you last week with all the snip-its I was posting about the upcoming Simpsons Couch Gag was kinda of a big deal. This particular couch gag was inspired by and made by the Robot Chicken team from Adult Swim and took months to finish, there is nothing better is nothing better than a good crossover. Stop-Motion Animation Doctor Who: ‘Doctor Puppet’

If you are one of the many fans excited about the 50th anniversary episode of the beloved British sci-fi show Doctor Who, then you have to check out this stop-motion animation made just for you. Created by artist Alisa Stern the “Doctor Puppet” creation is a short mini-series spoof. Featuring miniature versions of the Doctor, the TARDIS, the sonic screwdriver, psychic paper, and more. Watch three episodes, titled “The Red X”, “The Conjunction of Eleven,” and “How the Doctor Puppet Saved Christmas” below. Let me know what you think of “Doctor Puppet.”
LAIKA x Nike Air Raid ParaNorman Auction

A special one-night-only auction for the Nike Air Raid ParaNorman was tonight at the 366 Days Of Kicks Year End Party in Portland, OR. Inspired by last years LAIKA Studios stop-motion animated film ParaNorman.
Donated by Tinker Hatfield and Tiffany Beers, the kicks come with a special limited edition box designed by Mark Smith.
The bidding will start at 11pm Portland time.
Saks Fifth Avenue NYC – 2012 Animated Window Display by Lucinda Schreiber and Yanni Kronenberg

If you happen to be in the New York this Holiday season it is a must that you check out some of the spectacular window displays. One in particular includes luxury retailer Saks Fifth Avenue, featuring a display by Australian artists Lucinda Schreiber and Yanni Kronenberg, who spent 35 days shooting their 80-second stop motion film for the flagship store in Manhattan.
The display will continue 24 hours a day until the new year! make sure peep as many as you can.

Cool X-Men 1992 Cartoon Stop-motion Intro

I love stop-motion just as much as the next person. So anytime I find a new one I have to share.
Most people I grew up with watched the ’90s X-Men cartoon. So this intro wont be much of a surprise but wait till the end! Check out the entire intro sequence recreated in stop-motion action figure animation. Created by Kyle Roberts with background art by Nathan Poppe sponsored by the Toy and Action Figure Museum.

Disney’s Winnie the Pooh Stop-motion Animation Videos

Disney Living just uploaded some super sweet Winnie the Poo stop-motion videos. Featuring plush puppets Winnie the Pooh and his good friends Piglet, Tiger, Kanga and Roo as they show that a balloon and some bounce is all you need to have fun. But wheres Eeyore maybe he is just to much of party pooper to join the fun! Check out the videos below.
ParaNorman Nike Air Raid by Tinker Hatfield and Tiffany Beers

Back in August Joel Colley and David Trujillo of Laika Studios released the Nike Air Foamposite One ‘ParaNorman‘ sneaker to help raise funds for Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation which raised over $200,000.00. Since the success of the last sneaker, Tinker Hatfield and Tiffany Beers presented Colley and Trujillo a very special edition of the Nike Air Raid inspired by ParaNorman which actually happen to be an original prototype for the Born This Way Event but the Foamposite got selected. This amazingly limited edition version of the Air Raid features autographs by Tinker and Tiffany, in a perfect Halloween color combo, stay posted for more info on this sneaker.
The Walt Disney Family Museum – Between Frames: The Magic Behind Stop Motion Animation September 28, 2012

The Walt Disney Family Museum newest exhibition, ‘Between Frames: The Magic Behind Stop Motion Animation,’ opens September 28, 2012 to April 28, 2013 in the Theater Gallery. The exhibition explores the evolution of American stop-motion animation examining milestones from key innovators: Willis O’ Brien (King Kong), Tim Burton (The Nightmare Before Christmas), Art Clokey (‘Gumby’), Ray Harryhausen (It Came From Beneath the Sea), Henry Selick (Coraline and James and the Giant Peach), Phil Tippett (Star Wars and Jurassic Park) and more. ‘Between Frames’ tells the story of a 100-year-old art form showcasing, tons of behind-the-scenes photographs along with a special interactive station for visitors. The Simpsons Chiodo Brothers “Ned ‘N Edna’s Blend Agenda” Claymation

Gearing up for the 24th season of The Simpsons on September 30, 2012 on Fox’s Animation Domination block.
