If you haven’t seen the latest Supreme Skateboarding shops guerrilla marketing promos featuring Super model Kate Moss in a box Supreme shirt smoking a cigarette then you probably don’t live in New York City. Anyway Mike Frederiqo is one of my new favorite artist these days. For me that means a lot I don’t really follow street art like I had in the past because it became to water down and generic. But Frederiqo has been blowing up check out his fashion series. His SpongeBob SquarePants art is much like Murakami, Takashi’s super flat style but with SpongeBob as the key ingredient. Frederiqo’s latest piece is a mock-up of the Supreme promo featuring Kate moss as Spongebob “SpongeKate Spongepreme” too funny! What do you think?
France Say No SpongeBob SquarePants Statues

SpongeBob SquarePants who lives in the submarine city of Bikini Bottom was looking to get a residency permit in France. Nickelodeon wanted to place several 13-foot statues of SpongeBob and friends underwater just off the Calanques, near the southern city of Marseille. The Calanques are deep, narrow inlets famed for their diverse marine life. But French activists were not feeling the idea. They argued that the beautiful natural site shouldn’t be a marketing tool. Thierry Reboul of the public relations agency working for Nickelodeon on the project said Wednesday “The plan was for children to be able to see the statues when they took diving lessons in the area”

Leofoo Village Theme Park is a theme park and a safari located in Guanxi, Hsinchu, Taiwan. Similar aspects to Disney Themed Parks. Leofoo Village Theme Amusement Park I’m not sure but to celebrate their 30th Anniversary they are giving away a $450 coupon to their stores? can someone please help translate. Paramount Animation Productions Set To Release SpongeBob SquarePants Movie in 2014

Paramount dropped news that they will release a SpongeBob SquarePants movie in 2014. Fan will get a new story into the depths of Bikini Bottom. This should be an exciting collaboration considering Paramount Rango was its first fully CGI Movie and ended up wining an Oscar for best Animated feature film. At the 84th Academy Awards this past weekend. No word if the film be in 2D or 3D. Or thoughts on voice cast. But I will keep you posted as new unravels.
Mezco Toyz SpongeBob SquarePants BobbleHead and Figures 2012

I found these quite exciting Mezco Toyz is producing a Bobblehead SpongeBob SquarePants, Collectible mini figures, Patrickk, Mr. Krabs and SpongeBob. Along with Collectible (slightly larger than the mini figures) figures Series 1. Mr. Krabs, SpongeBob and Patrick and Series 2. a different variation of SpongeBob, Sandy and Squidward. These were still pending final approval for licensing, but I’m sure they will get the green light to go forward. The detail on Mezco Toyz are fantastic it really highlights the Nickelodeon characters to a tee. The figures if approved will hit stores November 2012.
