Spaceship Earth Epcot Turns Into Mike Wazowski For Walt Disney World's Monstrous Summer

To kick-off Walt Disney World’s Monstrous Summer, Disney held a press event which transformed Epcot’s Spaceship Earth (Spaceship Earth Epcot) into a giant Mike Wazowski head (body?) from Pixar’s Monsters Inc and Monsters University films. This also promotes the 24-hour “All-Nighter” special event where you can spend an entire day (and night) inside Magic Kingdom park! I have posted two videos below one is the test projection before the actual event and the other is the final projection in all its glory. What do you think the kids thought of it? I’m sure it gave some children the heebie jeebies! Monsters University hits theaters June 21, 2013.

Monsters University Blogger Press Event – The Blue Umbrella

Monsters University Blogger Press Event The Blue Umbrella

So this past week Pixar invited about 25 “Mommy Bloggers” and handful of Pixar bloggers from all over the states to the Monsters University Blogger Press Event in California. Where they got to view footage from Monsters University and see the entire short film The Blue Umbrella. Also the group of bloggers get to spend the day touring the Walt Disney Family Museum. Now I am not here to rant but seriously I looked up a lot of these bloggers that have only been blogging for a year or so with less than 100 post on Pixar and Disney. And I sit here and wonder why after almost 6 years of blogging with 594 post on Disney and 140 post on Pixar all give or take a post I was not invited to this event or another Disney event in general. I am bit sad about this and to top it off even when Disney and Pixar attended the New York Toy Fair in my own city and hitting up their NY merchandise contact I wasn’t even invited to come. I have been a die-hard Disney/Pixar writer for quite sometime now… is my SEO that bad and I am just getting flooded out by all these new bloggers? I just don’t know. Well I hope all my readers appreciate my blogging. The photo above is a gift the bloggers got to promote Pixar’s Blue Umbrella which in fact it is a blue umbrella. Rainy days like this just makes you think. Monsters University opens in theaters June 21, 2013.

Disney x Pixar “Finding Dory” Dives Into Theaters November 25, 2015

finding dory

Ellen DeGeneres broke the news on her show that she would be returning as the voice as Dory from the 2003 2003’s Oscar-winning film “Finding Nemo.” I think no one expected that when Dory said “just keep swimming” what would actually happen. With that said Dory will be getting lost in the all new animated adventure “Finding Dory” which takes place about a year about a year after the frist film and features favorites Marlin, Nemo and the Tank Gang, among others, along with a host of new characters. “Finding Dory” swims into theaters November 25, 2015.

DeGeneres said: “I have waited for this day for a long, long, long, long, long, long time, I’m not mad it took this long. I know the people at Pixar were busy creating ‘Toy Story 16.’ But the time they took was worth it. The script is fantastic. And it has everything I loved about the first one: It’s got a lot of heart, it’s really funny, and the best part is—it’s got a lot more Dory.”

Director and Pixar veteran Andrew Stanton says: “There is no Dory without Ellen, She won the hearts of moviegoers all over the world—not to mention our team here at Pixar. One thing we couldn’t stop thinking about was why she was all alone in the ocean on the day she met Marlin. In ‘Finding Dory,’ she will be reunited with her loved ones, learning a few things about the meaning of family along the way.”
