Midway won’t be following through with the downloadable characters planed for Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe.

One of the reasons being that Midway has since filed for bankruptcy and will soon be owned by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. Not only that, but fans can look forward to the news that Ed Boon has also been discussing the development of Mortal Kombat 9.

The Japanese “Relax Bear” RilakKuma created by Bandai now is featured on his very own very cool Netbook. Specs include: Atom N270 (1.6GHz), with 1GB of RAM, 160GB of HDD, a 8.9” screen with a 1024×600 resolution, a 1Seg Digital TV Tuner.

The RilakKuma Netbooks are only sold in Japan via LalaBit Market‘s online store for and limited to only 500 units!

Tekken series director Katsuhiro Harada expresses his feelings regarding unlocking characters, where the history of unlocking characters begin and what is the future of video gaming holds. Harada explains in a interview with videogamer.com and the Namco Bandai’s Europe event, that unlocking characters is not feasible now with inline play. Originally locked characters were used in arcades to extend the life if the game by gradually unlocking characters this eventually applied to home video games. Katsuhiro Harada’ Tekken 6 will feature 40 characters, all of them will be available for game play from the very beginning. Tekken 6 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 will be available on October 27, 2009.
