The LEGO Movie – Official Teaser Trailer

Here is the first official teaser trailer for The LEGO Movie, the first-ever, full-length theatrical LEGO adventure, directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, opening in theaters February 7, 2014. The LEGO Movie features the vocal talents of Chris Pratt, Will Ferrell, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Nick Offerman and Alison Brie, with Liam Neeson and of course Morgan Freeman who narrates the trailer. The Story follows Emmet, an ordinary, rules-following, perfectly average LEGO minifigure who is mistakenly identified as the most extraordinary person and the key to saving the world. He is drafted into a fellowship of strangers on an epic quest to stop an evil tyrant, a journey for which Emmet is hopelessly and hilariously unprepared. Check out the trailer below.

Dusty From Disney’s Planes at Jones Beach NY

Dusty from Disney’s upcoming animated film “Planes” will be flying into various Air Shows all summer long! Here is a sneak peek at him between two Canadian F-18s at the recent Bethpage Air Show in Jones Beach, NY. I will keep you posted on more sightings as they come about. 300: Rise of an Empire – Official Trailer

Here is the frist official trailer for 300: Rise of an Empire inspired by Frank Miller’s graphic novel 300 and the follow-up to the movie 300. In this film Themistokles attempts to unite all of Greece by leading the charge that will change the course of the war, by invading Persian forces led by mortal-turned-god Xerxes, and Artemisia, vengeful commander of the Persian navy. I have to admit the preview looks promising plus you get to see a brunette Lena Headey (Game of Thrones) rephrase he role as Queen Gorgo and it’s directed by Zack Snyder. 300: Rise of an Empire hits theaters March 7, 2014. Vie Show Cinemas Monsters University Limited Opening Ceremony

Vie Show Cinemas in Taiwan plans to have a special Monsters University Limited Opening Ceremony popcorn, collectable toys and reusable plastic cup promotion for their theaters exclusively. The set features Sulley and Mike popcorn boxes, 2 toys with purchase of one or the other plus a large collectable cup. Monsters University is an upcoming 2013 animated comedy film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. The film stars Billy Crystal, John Goodman, Steve Buscemi, and Frank Oz. I really like Vie Show Cinemas promotion I hope the US dose something similar if not the same.

Monsters University – Exclusive Scare 101 Clip

Here is another exclusive clip for Pixar’s Monsters University where Professer Knight teaches the art of “Scaring 101” Robert L. Baird, who co-wrote the film says: “In some ways, because he’s a scaring teacher, we wanted to infuse him with a drill sergeant mentality, because scaring is theory but it also is physical discipline.” The writers had to spend a lot of time thinking back on their college courses to really come up with a curriculum that worked to teach monsters how to scare, since every kid is scared of something different. Monsters University starts scarring into theaters June 21, 2013. Check out the clip below.

I know this isn’t exactly animation but I love a good viral campaign especially when it involves street-art. Plus I love a good Planet of the Apes moves. With all that said Dawn of the Planet of the Apes ‘Human Nation’ campaign is on set in New Orleans, these photos depict that there is a resistance in the film with stenciled art of a human face with a biohazard symbol. Along with broken down cable cars and a banner for the Fine Arts Museum of San Francisco. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is an upcoming American science fiction film directed by Matt Reeves, set in San Francisco, 15 years after the 2011 film Rise of the Planet of the Apes scheduled for release May 23, 2014. The film stars Andy Serkis, Gary Oldman, Jason Clarke, and Keri Russell. Check out more below.

3D Trailer for Guillermo del Toro’s Pacific Rim

Warner Bros. and Legendary Entertainment have released the full official trailer for Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming “Kaiju” film Pacific Rim. Set to open in IMAX theaters on July 12, 2013 Pacific Rim stars Charlie Hunnam, Charlie Day, Ron Perlman, Robert Kazinsky, Max Martini, Clifton Collins, Jr., Burn Gorman, Larry Joe Campbell, Brad William Henke and Diego Klattenhoff. In the near future, giant monsters identified as “Kaiju” have risen from a crevasse in the Pacific Ocean, resulting in a war which takes millions of lives and quickly consumes humanity’s resources. To combat this new threat, a special type of weapon is designed: massive robots, known as Jaegers, which are controlled simultaneously by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. As time passes, even the powerful Jaegers prove almost defenseless in the face of a relentless enemy. On its last stand and on the verge of defeat, the remaining defending forces of mankind have no choice but to turn to two unlikely heroes—a former pilot (Charlie Hunnam) and an untested trainee (Rinko Kikuchi)—who are teamed to pilot a legendary but seemingly obsolete Jaeger from the early trials of the mechanical titans.
