Death of a Superhero Official Trailer

Have you seen or heard about the Tribeca Film Death of a Superhero directed by Ian Fitzgibbon? If not check out the trailer below. Death of a Superhero is a 2011 German drama film based on the New Zealand novel of the same name by Anthony McCarten. The film was shot on location in Ireland. The story follows A dying 15-year-old boy who draws stories of an invincible superhero as he struggles with his mortality. Slowly the young boy falls into a world occupied by his alter ego comic book superhero. This story reminds me a bit of (just a bit) Cool World an 1992 American live-action/animated film directed by Ralph Bakshi. About a story of a cartoonist who finds himself in the animated world he created, and is seduced by one of his characters, a comic strip vamp who wants to be real. Death of a Superhero US premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on April 18, 2012.

Have you seen The Hunger Games yet or do you plan on seeing it this weekend? I do I bought my ticket but I want to hear what you thought about the film how it compares to the trilogy by Suzanne Collins (if you have read them) and tell me are you excited for the sequel? After the hype of this first film this is guaranteed to hit Harry Potter and Twilight Sega status. The Hollywood Reporter says: “it’s on track to make $140 to $150 million dollars this weekend, which would make it one of the 10 biggest movie openings ever.” Wow that’s incredible this is really going to shoot these stars into the sky. Lucky them that they got partake in such an amazing film that the whole family can watch. Though this film has gotten some criticism due to the fact that it has similar traits to the Japanese cult film Battle Royal. I can assure you from what I know about both films plus being a huge fan of BR these two story-lines are on different spectrum’s going into two different directions. The Hunger Games is in theaters now staring Elizabeth Banks, Woody Harrelson, Stanley Tucci, Donald Sutherland and Toby Jones. Buy your tickets for The Hunger Games Now!
