Watchman anti-hero: Rorschach first glimps

Watchmen director Zack Snyder is launching a his own website cruelfilms.com, for his production company Cruel and Unusual Films. To celebrate and promote his new site, Snyder has leaked a never-before-seen image from the opening scene from Watchmen movie that is due out March 6, 2009. The image is one of the first glimpses audiences will have of the film’s anti-hero, Rorschach. via: superherohype
Takashi Okazaki’s Afro Samurai new video game clips and Samuel L. Jackson LA Weekly interview

Game company Namco-Bandai recently released 3 more videos of new third-person action video game titled “Afro Samurai” for PS3 and Xbox360. The video game follows the animated anime/manga series by Takashi Okazaki. Samuel L. Jackson who does the voice-over for character ”Afro” on the original TV series currently shown on Adult Swim, will also serve as the voice for Afro in the video game. More >
Sony Animation partners with Gotham Group

Sony Pictures Animation has signed a first-look production deal with Ellen Goldsmith-Vein’s the Gotham Group. Gotham Group is a leading management firm for toon and kids content creators, and have produced films as “The Spiderwick Chronicles. Gotham represents some of the top animation directors and writers as well as a broad range publishing houses and comicbook companies including Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing, Harper Collins Children’s Books (U.S. & U.K.), Houghton Mifflin/Harcourt and Dark Horse Entertainment. Gotham is currently in production on “Dead Space,” an animated feature for Starz channel and the 3-D CGI film “Quantum Quest,” the first film ever initiated by NASA/JPL. The company also recently linked with the Chungnan Techno Park, Chungam province of South Korea and several South Korean corporations in a pubic-private partnership to form an animation fund totaling more than $300 million for the purpose of financing, producing and distributing six to eight animated and live-action/animated hybrid feature films.
