LEGO The Tower of Orthanc – Video

I am pretty astonished by the new LEGO The Tower of Orthanc…2,359 pieces that make up six floors of LEGO details inspired by the iconic Tower from the Lord of the Rings trilogy, that included an attic, library, alchemy room, Saruman’s throne room, entrance hall and dungeon. Along with all that the LEGO set includes a Great Eagle, buildable Ent figure and 5 minifigures with weapons: Saruman with kirtle outfit, Grima Wormtongue, Gandalf the Grey, an Uruk-hai and the Orc Pitmaster. The LEGO Tower of Orthanc will retail for $200 and be available starting July 2013 via LEGO Shop. More details below.
The Hunger Games Catching Fire -The Capitol Couture Portrait Series

For those who have not seen these, Lionsgate Films last month released The Capitol Couture Portrait Series to promote “The Hunger Games Catching Fire” I wanted to share the complete collection. The series features the main actors in fabulous costumes designed by Trish Summerville. Based on Suzanne Collins’ best-selling series, The Hunger Games films take place in a not-too-distant future in which North American society has collapsed and been replaced by Panem, in which every year two teenagers from each of the country’s 12 districts are summoned to the corrupt Capitol to participate in the deadly Hunger Games, a spectacle televised throughout the land.

So I know a lot of middle aged woman will be going gaga over the new MAC Archie’s Girls Collection, maybe only for the nostalgic artwork on the packaging. This collection has been a longtime coming I posted it back in July 2012 now it is finally here!
The collection features colors inspired by girl-net-door Betty and vivacious, spoiled rich-girl, brunette Veronica and will be available online through MAC online store starting January 30, 2013.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire – First Look

Here is the first official look at Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence) and Finnick (Sam Claflin) in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire for this Entertainment Weekly. In this film after winning the 74th Hunger Games in the previous novel, Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark return home to District 12, the poorest sector in the country of Panem. On the day that Katniss and Peeta are to start a “Victory Tour” of the country, she is visited by President Snow. After they agree not to lie to each other, President Snow explains that he is angry with her for breaking the rules at the end of the last Hunger Games, which permitted them both to win. President Snow tells Katniss that when she defied the Capitol, she inspired rebellion in the districts.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire hits theaters November 22, 2013 in IMAX.

HUGE Gollum by Weta @ Wellington Airport NZ

A enormous Gollum installation is currently on display at Wellington Airport in New Zealand. If you are a fan of J.R.R. Tolkien Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit this is a must see! featuring a huge Gollum sticking his head underwater grabbing for fish was installed by Weta, to promote Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit. Family restaurants Denny’s has partnered up with Warner Bros. for some tasty new Middle-earth inspired meals. The limited time menu is to promote the upcoming film The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. You can chow down on the new Middle-earth dishes starting Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at Denny’s. Patrons who order from the specialized menu will get a collectible trading card.
