Seriously a Hipster Mickey Cocktail Reception? yep that’s right! starting July 18, 2013 the first series of Hipster Mickey inspired pieces titled Happiest Hipster on Earth part of a three part collection. Will feature a young fresh Mickey Mouse looking effortlessly cool in his old-school sporting his retro inspired Disneyland jacket, ticket media and signage. The image will appear on a miniature gallery wrapped canvas, limited edition giclee, deluxe print, t-shirt and more. To celebrate the launch of the line, there will be a Hipster Mickey Cocktail Reception taking place from 7 – 10p.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at WonderGround Gallery in the Downtown Disney, District at the Disneyland Resort, tickets are priced at $85.00. Today in Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, Disney/Pixar held a special coronation for Brave’s Merida who has been officially inducted into Disney Princess Royal Court. Merdia sporting her new princess persona and dress was greeted by her mother Queen Elinor on stage, celebrating the bond between mother and daughters this Mothers Day weekend! Artist-animator-illustrator Ian ‘Albinal’ Ball has been contributing his multi-talents for the SneakerCon event fliers for over a year now. With each new flier Ian captures the state of which the event is held though cities scapes, notable monuments and adding twist of that underground sneaker swag that only locals could recognize. Using simple graphics and colorful illustrations, Ian gives each city its own personal identity that is never recycled. His latest work for SneakerCon is probably his best yet! Ian has recreated an actual piece of a SneakerCon event, through a less 2 minute animation he gives you inside look to what the event is really all about. The animation is inspired by a well-known movie…that you’ll have to guess! (hint: directed by Robert Rodriguez and written by Quentin Tarantino). Sneaker Con is ready to take on the Summer 2013 season with four confirmed tour dates through the month of July. The Sneaker Con Summer 2013 Tour will begin on May 11th in Chicago, followed by stops in Atlanta (June 15th), Miami (June 29th), and New York City (July 13th). Expect each Sneaker Con event to bring forth the best that the sneaker culture has to offer, so stay tuned for more information on each exciting date in the Sneaker Con Summer 2013 Tour.

Ok not exactly the Julie Andrews (Mary Poppins) and Dick Van Dyke (Bert), but undoubtedly cute father-daughter duo –Larry Birkhead and Dannielynn Birkhead (yes Anna Nicole Smith’s daughter!) represented the classic Disney musical quite well with Mary Poppins costumes from scenes “Jolly Holiday” and “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious“! the two attended the red carpet at the Moet & Chandon party for the 139th Kentucky Derby on May 4, 2013 in Louisville, Kentucky. I can’t believe how much the 6-year-old Dannielynn looks just like her mother! only thing missing was the umbrella! what do you think? check out more pictures below.

Wednesday at the El Capitan Theater Marvel’s Iron Man 3 Red Carpet World Premiere took place. Here are some pictures of the very classy cast and crew. Robert Downey Jr. has to be one of the most handsome and photogenic guys in Hollywood. And moving along to Gwyneth Paltrow dress dramatic, see-through dress that she rocked, got loads of attention personally I think it is something you would see on a red carpet so it was perfect! she is natural beauty hands down. And I am a little obsessed with Revenge star Emily VanCamp who will be portraying Agent 13 in Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) she has impeccable style and taste along with being an amazing actress! I look forward to seeing what VanCamp will be offering to the Marvel team. Oh yeah Stan Lee was there too! Marvel’s Iron Man 3 hits theaters May 3, 2013. Check out all the pictures below.

Activision Skylanders SWAP FORCE Preview Event @ Nasdaq Market Place – Recap
Earlier today I was invited by Activison to their preview party where they announce the latest addition to Skylanders interactive “toys to life” innovation with the all-new SWAP FORCE (giving Disney Infinity a run for their money). The event was a collaboration with Toys R Us at Nasdaq Market Place in Times Square, which also coincided with a kids event over at Toy ‘R Us next door. There was tons of tasty treats and refreshments flowing along with a preview of new, never-before-seen exclusive Skylanders merchandise. Media got a taste of what is in-store for the franchise debuting Fall 2013, with a demos of featuring the new characters swaps plus introduction to new characters Blast Zone, Countdown, Wash Buckler and more! also President of Toys ’R Us CEO Jerry Storch was on deck answering questions.
