The Lorax Statue Stolen from Dr. Seuss’ House

The home of Audrey Geisel and the late Theodor Geisel (Dr. Seuss) oceanfront La Jolla, Encelia Drive estate in San Diego had been burglarized Tuesday. A 200-pound, 2-foot-tall bronze custom “Lorax” statue has been stolen from the front yard. Audrey Geisel and a groundskeeper discovered the missing from the garden of on Monday morning, and called the San Diego police. The statue is irreplaceable, as the mold was destroyed after it was made. There are three similar statues, but not identical. The 200-pound piece, one of two commissioned by the author’s stepdaughter, is valued at $10,000. Pretty messed up if you ask me now it will be sold for a ton of money and sit inside some toy collectors house that has an abundance of material objects from around the world. When it just meant to sit a in garden as reminder of Audrey husband the late great Dr. Seuss. So sad I despise people who steal. I really hope they find ht people and prosecute them.

Was Dr. Seuss the Original Nerd?

The definition of NRED: a boring or unpopular person, esp one obsessed with something specified: a computer nerd. Did you know that the word “NERD” was first noticed in a book from 1950. The book was titled “If I Ran the Zoo” a book by Dr. Seuss. I think Dr. Seuss was a book nerd! he wrote over 50 children’s books.

The Lorax film opens tomorrow March 2, 2012 to commemorate Dr. Seuss’ 108th Birthday. Dose anyone else have a birthday with tomorrow if you. Are you planning to celebrate a Dr. Seuss way with The Lorax. I would love to see some birthday celebration inspired by the Lorax! please send pictures!

Hmm so with all this hype about Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax strategically planned to open on Dr. Seuss’ birthday March 2, 2012…What do you think the odds are that Google Doodle paying another homage to Dr. Seuss’ 108th birthday day? Is it possible for Google to give out more than one Google Doodle to the same person? Theodor Seuss Geisel was born March 2, 1904 and died September 24, 1991. He was an American writer, poet, and cartoonist. Did you know Dr. Seuss had other pen names too? like Theo LeSieg, and Rosetta Stone. Those who were lucky enough to be part of The Lorax world premier at Universal CityWalk Hollywood yesterday was greeted by the stars of the movie on an orange carpet instead of red.
