The wait is not over but at least we get a sneak peek for whats in store this Spring on Cartoon Network. One of the most anticipated animated series featured at the New York Comic Con back October. A one hour special “DC Nation” premiers on Cartoon Network 11-11-11 at 7pm Eastern time with a special intro for the Green Lantern: The Animated Series. Green Lantern is a CGI animated action/adventure, science-fiction TV series set to release a total of 26 episodes the first season geared for Spring 2012.

Developed by Bruce Timm, Giancarlo Volpe and Jim Krieg, Green Lantern: The Animated Series based on DC Comics‘ superhero Green Lantern and will be the first show based on the Green Lantern. The series follows the adventures of Hal Jordan, the Green Lantern of Sector 2814, Kilowog, the Red Lanterns, villain Atrocitus, and the Manhunters.

Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked is an upcoming 2011 action packed comedy. Based on the characters by Ross Bagdasarian, Jr. and Janice Karman. Horsing around on a family cruise gets the ship wrecked and sets the Chipmunks and Chipettes overboard and marooned on a tropical deserted islands of Scilly. Namco Bandai panel at this years Gamescom 2009, revealed new future collaborations with new partners: game developers Ninja Theory and Game Republic.
Ninja Theory is known for developing the hit PS3 exclusive Heavenly Sword. During the press panel Game Republic president Yoshiki Okamoto discussed the first two games from the Namco Bandai partnership. The first title is an action game is based on the Clash of the Titans movie from Warner Bros. due out next year and the second is an action/adventure game called Majin. Both titles will be for PS3 and Xbox 360 and will be releasing in Spring of 2010.

Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Morgan Spurlock is set to produce and direct The Simpsons 20th Anniversary Special in 3-D on Ice airing Thursday, January 14 on FOX.
The documentary special will be the momentous conclusion to the “Best. 20 Years. Ever.,” a year-long global celebration of THE SIMPSONS that launched in January 2009 and culminates on the 20th anniversary of the series’ debut.

THE SIMPSONS is a Gracie Films Production in association with 20th Century Fox Television. James L. Brooks, Matt Groening and Al Jean are the executive producers. Film Roman is the animation house.

Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation has recruited Raja Gosnell to direct the new live action 3D animated SMURFS film based on the legendary blue characters created by Pierre Culliford aka Peyo.
The film will be released in 3-D and 2-D formats on December 17, 2010, stay posted for more Smurf news!
