Barbie Wears Camilla and Marc @ Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week
About a week ago Barbie was flown to Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Australia. Barbie sat front row at the Camilla and Marc opening show with pals are Rei Shito from Style From Tokyo, Rachael Finch, Phil Oh from Street Peeper and Nicole Warne, official Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week ‘Insider.’ Barbie who is 54 and hasn’t age a second wore custom-fit Camilla and Marc. The Duchess of Cambridge Shuns “lookalike” Barbie-style Doll
The Duchess of Cambridge came face-to-face with a “lookalike” doll of herself today – but she wasn’t impressed with the likeness. Kate, 31, was presented with the Barbie-style doll (above) in a copy of her blue Issa engagement dress during a visit to Dumfries House. Which was present by 11-year-old girl named Dayna whose mother bought the doll through eBay. Personally I think it looks like a hybrid Kate and Pippa Middleton.
Shocked Kate said: “No! Oh no, is that me? Is that meant to be me? “Does my hair really look like that!”
Dayna pointed out to Kate about the doll: “But your engagement ring is on the wrong finger and is pink not blue.”
Afterwards Dayna said: “I told her she was much prettier than the doll and her hair was not nearly so big and she laughed and seemed happy. “I think she was a bit shocked by the doll though. I can’t believe how nice she was though. She was just lovely. This has been the best day ever.”
Her mother, who was draped in a Union flag and wearing a plastic crown, added: “Dayna is a huge fan of the royal family and has written seven or eight letters to them and had replies from all, even the Queen.”

Barbie – ESTRELA – Made in Brazil
According to Portugee’s site Barbie Fashion News Mattel might be moving some of its Barbie factories back into Brazil, currently Barbie is manufactured in China and will still do so, but with less intensity so it’s reported. I guess we will have to see if this really happens I am happy to hear that production is coming a bit closer to home. Also it seems that ESTRELA toys is rumored to be the manufacturing company, that will take over production. ESTRELA back in the 80′s and early 90′s produced Barbie until Mattel sent production over seas. Interested in seeing if this really materializes.
Jennifer Lawrence’s Barbie Doll Look in W Magazine
Check out Jennifer Lawrence as a Barbie doll in the new issue of W magazine. While most fans might be turned off by the new look. Lawrence insist that her Barbie-esque figure in Hollywood is purely to poke fun and considers herself “fat, by Hollywood’s standards” and will not be constrained by Hollywood’s usual rules of conformity.
Lawrence was recently named face of Christian Dior hence the pink Dior dress and pearls in the photo.
