If you have not seen From Up on Poppy Hill produced by Studio Ghibli and directed by Hayao Miyazaki’s son Goro. You should it’s based off the Tetsurou Sayama’s 1980 shoujo manga. This nostalgic and romantic story follows a high school girl named Umi Matsuzaka and young boy Shun that live in the port city of Yokohama in 1963. The two become quite close while trying to save a Culture Club the city is trying to destroy but later find out that maybe siblings.

Marvel‘s Anime Blade is the fourth installment in the Marvel anime collection. Inspired by the Marvel comic superhero the anime series consist of twelve episodes and is written by Kenta Fukasaku. G4 network will be premiering “Blade” on Friday, January 13, 2012 at 11 p.m. ET/PT. The anime follows Blade, a “Daywalker” vampire hunter who was born with human and vampire blood finds himself on a mission in Japan. There he confronts Deacon Frost, the vampire who killed his mother. He also finds himself up against the “Existence” a vampire organization.

The Ultraman Saga is an up coming live-action Japanese science fiction, action adventure movie that follows the Ultra Series history about how Earth has been invaded by alien bat invaders. Warriors “Ultraman Zero”, “Ultraman Dyna” and “Ultraman Cosmos” come from different time eras joining forces to protect the earthlings from the space invaders. The Ultraman movie “Ultraman saga” will be in 3D and is set to hit theaters March 24, 2012 in Japan. This weekend November 26, 2011 “Ultraman saga” advance ticket sales begin the movie is sure to sell out since it a cult classic.

Some History behind Ultraman the main characters were created by Eiji Tsuburaya from Tsuburaya Productions, who was a pioneer in special effects and responsible for bringing Gojira/Godzilla to life in 1954. The show’s predecessor was a series called Ultra Q, a black-and-white 28-episode series very much like the original Outer Limits and The Twilight Zone.

The set is the 17th in Japan Post’s “Anime Hero Heroine Series.” Previous stamps in the series have included Patlabor, Pokémon, Gundam, Galaxy Express 999, Detective Conan, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Future Boy Conan, and Manga Nihon Mukashi Banashi. The stamps Dragon Ball Kai Stamps hit Japanese post offices January 23, 2012 each sheet will features two stamps of Vegeta, three stamps of Son Goku, two stamps of Son Gohan, two stamps of Piccolo, and Trunks. The branches of Japan Post will also stamp envelopes with special Dragon Ball Kai date stamps of Son Goku.
