Director and artist Ralph Bakshi just posted on his official Facebook page a sneak peek of him creating a rough storyboard panel for his latest animated short “Last Days of Coney Island.” Bakshi also announced he will be launching a new video production blog for Last Days of Coney Island. Disney’s Big Hero 6

Here is a frist look at Walt Disney Animation Studios upcoming CG-animated film titled “Big Hero 6″ inspired by the Marvel comics of the same name. Big Hero 6 is a comedy adventure that fallows the story of the brilliant robotics prodigy named Hiro Hamada and his companion—a robot named Baymax—Hiro. The two find themselves in the grips of a criminal plot that threatens to destroy their high-tech city San Fransokyo. The two join forces as first-time crime fighters on a mission to save their city. The Marvel comic Big Hero 6 debuted September 1998 and was created by Steven T. Seagle and Duncan Rouleau in the pages of Alpha Flight, volume 2. Big Hero 6 the movie hits theaters in 3D on November 7, 2014. Check out the clip below.

SneakerCon Animation by Ian ‘Albinal’ Ball

Artist-animator-illustrator Ian ‘Albinal’ Ball has been contributing his multi-talents for the SneakerCon event fliers for over a year now. With each new flier Ian captures the state of which the event is held though cities scapes, notable monuments and adding twist of that underground sneaker swag that only locals could recognize. Using simple graphics and colorful illustrations, Ian gives each city its own personal identity that is never recycled. His latest work for SneakerCon is probably his best yet! Ian has recreated an actual piece of a SneakerCon event, through a less 2 minute animation he gives you inside look to what the event is really all about. The animation is inspired by a well-known movie…that you’ll have to guess! (hint: directed by Robert Rodriguez and written by Quentin Tarantino). Sneaker Con is ready to take on the Summer 2013 season with four confirmed tour dates through the month of July. The Sneaker Con Summer 2013 Tour will begin on May 11th in Chicago, followed by stops in Atlanta (June 15th), Miami (June 29th), and New York City (July 13th). Expect each Sneaker Con event to bring forth the best that the sneaker culture has to offer, so stay tuned for more information on each exciting date in the Sneaker Con Summer 2013 Tour.

Eva Longoria will star in her very own adult animated comedy titled Mother Up! Longoria voices newly single, Rudi Wilson a disgraced former music executive, who recently moves to the suburbs and realizes that raising two children…might be more than she can handle. So it’s time for Rudi Wilson to mother up! Longria who serves as producer says Mother Up! will be the medium between Family Guy and South Park, the animated series will make its debut this fall on Hulu Plus.

“You could never do this in live-action,” Longoria said. “In animated series, you can really push the envelope and make fun of motherhood.”

Comedian Seth Meyers and Mike Shoemaker (SNL) have created an all-new half-hour animated series called “The Awesomes” that will be premiering exclusively on Hulu.com starting August 1, 2013. Patrons of San Diego Comic Con will get a sneak peek in July at a special panel screening. The Awesomes series, revolves around the greatest superhero team in history, then follows what happens after all the most powerful members leave. Check out the character descriptions along with a 2 minute preview below.

The Awesomes:

– The Impresario, a.k.a. Austin Sullivan (voiced by Kenan Thompson): “He’s a fashion plate who also has the ability to conjure whatever he can imagine using this magical jewel in his head,” Meyers says. “He has mother issues so unfortunately, he only conjures different versions of his mother — also voiced by Kenan, which is pretty great.”

- Frantic, a.k.a. Zip Danger (Taran Killam): “Comic books always have this speedster character, who is someone who has super speed. No reason to make it any more complicated than that,” Meyers says. “That’s what Frantic is, but he’s a redneck who, because of his superpowers, was an outcast of a family full of outcasts. He’s the fame-hungry member of the team. His goal is not to be a superhero, but to get his own reality show because he’s a superhero.”

- Sumo, a.k.a. Tim (Bobby Lee): “Tim is a little boy, but when he gets angry, as all little boys do, he transforms to a giant Sumo wrestler,” Shoemaker says. “So that’s the embodiment of pre-teen angst.”
Muscleman, a.k.a. Harry Strong (Ike Barinholtz): “He’s Prock’s best friend, who he’s known forever. He’s sort of like the golden retriever of superheroes,” Meyers says. “[Barinholtz] in real-life happens to be one of the most loyal friends I’ve ever had. It’s more based on his loyalty than his strength and intelligence.” Adds Shoemaker, “He’s very strong, very dumb, but really the core of the team.” He’s also, Meyers says, “the kind of guy you don’t want to work out next to at the gym. He would be like 10 percent sweatier and 50 percent hairier than anybody you’d want at the machine one over.”

- Concierge (Emily Spivey): “She’s the team’s assistant,” Shoemaker says. “Her power, sort of, is super resourcefulness. She can get what you want when you want it.”

- Prock, a.k.a. Professor Doctor Awesome (Meyers): “He’s an amalgamation of Shoemaker and I, which is a guy who is a classic overthinker. Father issues is more me that Shoemaker,” Meyers says, laughing. “He’s a guy whose dad was the greatest superhero ever and now he’s trying to follow in his footsteps without any of the powers.” Correction: “He has an ability to stop time and use that time to come up with a plan. But more often than not, he stops time and emotionally spins out while he goes over his options,” Meyers says. So that counts as a power, Shoemaker says. “But like in a fight, he’s very useless.” His arch-villain is Dr. Malocchio (not picture. Bill Hader), who was the nemesis of Mr. Awesome (Steve Higgins), Prock’s father. “Now that Mr. Awesome has left Earth, Malocchio realizes there’s no one who’s smart enough or strong enough to stop him,” Meyers says. Prock is also in a love triangle with Hotwire (not pictured, Rashida Jones) and Perfect Man (not pictured, Seth’s brother Josh Meyers). “Hotwire is dating Perfect Man, who was the perfect superhero and Prock’s dad’s favorite,” Shoemaker explains.

- Gadget Gal (Paula Pell): “She was a superhero back in the ’40s, and she aged, but then she was hit with a rejuvenation ray. So now she has the hot body of a 25-year-old, but she talks like a crazy, 85-year-old lady,” Shoemaker says.

Artist/Cartoonist/Actor Kevin McShane also known as “Cartoon Kevin” has portrayed himself in 100 different variations inspired by famous cartoon characters and their respectable artist styles. This collection of caricatures took McShane, two years in the making. It was had for me to choose my favorites but I did like the Bill Plympton, John Kricfalusi, Ralph Bakshi and Terry Gilliam, ones only because I love them as artist so the homage to their art is pretty cool. Crunch will be the host of all-new late night talk show web series titled The Cap’n Crunch Show. The YouTube web series will consist of nine animated episodes starting May 7, 2013 every other Tuesday at 11:35 pm ET.
