New Angry Birds Star Wars: Official Cloud City Gameplay Trailer
A couple of days I posted the teaser trailer for the upcoming expansion for the new Star Wars Angry Birds franchise, the new episode by Rovio called Cloud City will arrive as an update in the next few days. Angry Birds x Star Wars Hasbro Toy Sets – Complete List
Probably the hottest news that dropped today the Angry Birds and Star Wars collaboration. Looks as if the Birds couldn’t let the Piggies get all the attention. Hasbro has announced its partnership with LucasFilm for the release of a line of toys based on the new game. The line includes: Angry Birds Star Wars Battle Game Packs, choose from DARTH VADER’S LIGHTSABER, JABBA’S PALACE and FIGHT ON TATOOINE Approximate retail price: $14.99. Angry Birds Star Wars Early Birds Package includes R2-D2 EGG, LUKE SKYWALKER BIRD, PRINCESS LEIA BIRD, CHEWBACCA BIRD, 2 blocks, and 1 Lightsaber Launcher. Approximate retail price: $9.99. ROVIO x Lucasfilm: Angry Birds Event @ Times Square Toy”R”Us Sunday
ROVIO and Lucasfilm just launched an event this Sunday October 8, 2012 at the Toy”R”Us at Times Square and over the next few weeks will be dropping behind-the-scenes content, animations, comics, and much more on their official Tumbler. I guess the hint is the Angry Bird dressed as a Jedi Knight with lightsaber. More info below.

Rovio’s Angry Birds “Freddie For A Day” Celebrating Freddie Mercury
Starting off the week celebrating the memory and birthday (September 5) one my favorite singers/personalities of all time Freddie Mercury! starting today the creators of Angry Birds are releasing an all-new animation of Freddie the Angry Bird riding his bicycle to the famous Queen track “Bicycle Race.” The video will be made available on Rovio’s YouTube channel and Angry Birds Freddie For A Day. I posted the link video below! in addition the Mercury Phoenix Trust, and Angry Birds in partnership with Bravado will be releasing a limited-edition Freddie Mercury Angry Bird T-shirt. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Mercury Phoenix Trust. Freddie Mercury would have been a mere 66 years old this week.
Get Ready for Angry Birds Cartoon Series!
Yep that’s right Angry Birds fans are gonna get even angrier in the new up coming cartoon based off the hit application turned video game turned super franchise from Rovio! Plus if Angry Birds weekly isn’t enough wait till you see the Angry Birds feature film which is slated for sometime in 2015. I mean but its going to be so hard to resist the urge to want to interact with the Angry Birds without sling shooting them into space right? will they have that much appeal just sitting watching them? who knows. Check out what Rovio’s head of animation Nick Dorra said at a media conference in Cannes, France below.
