Anime Festival day 1 & 2 highlights
Moresay was privileged to check out the Animation Festival, New York location was Jacob Javits Center. Pictures from the event lots of cosplay sword fighting, dancing & running a muck definitely a scene for those young at heart! the convention center was converted into an Anime wonderland the theme was Ninjas and Lolitas and everything in between, this is definitely the place to be if you crave Japanese Anime culture.

Decoy, is a familiar name in the Washington DC area, you can see her work in the streets, restaurant (check out Luna Grill) & in galleries. Recently Decoy has expanded her illustration creativity into fashion providing animated trend through unisex ties, check out the Charlie Brown inspired tie!!!! 8/10/08 DC Design Babes along with sponsors RTCRM & Viget Labs (responsable for the prizes) came together @ FLY CLUB for its first: Mini Munny Marker Sketching Contest: 210 artist partispated and the club was packed. Annie Riker’s “Money Tree” won the 1st place & Kunal Vijayakar came in 2nd for his Munnia “The Supera”.

Washington DC is always pumping with an array cultural museums and gallery
events. Currently DC is the spot to be if you’re a Jim Henson Fan. @ National Museum of American the exhibit covered Henson’s work in-depth from the art and science of puppetry, dissecting “hand-and-rod Muppets” to the complicated animatronics figures of the 1982 film The Dark Crystal.
The Legacy, Jim Henson’s Fantastic World is currently still on exhibit at Smithsonian’s International Gallery, 10/5/08 this exhibit is a rare insight into personal vision of his beloved characters. Giving a guided look into, the art, photographs, documents, puppets, film footage.

Mercenaries 2 World in Flames

A video game Mercenaries 2 World in Flames by Electronic Arts Inc., depicts mercenaries storming Venezuela, will most likely anger President Hugo Chavez, who has in the past threatened to cut off oil exports to the United States. The game is set in what they are calling a “fully destructible Venezuela, A power hungry tyrant uses Venezuela’s oil supply to overthrow the government and turns the country into a war zone,” they say that this video game could spark a psychological groundwork for an actual invasion.
