Here I have complied (with a little help) a list of the top 20 exclusive San Diego Comic Con toys. These are some of the hottest and the rarest toys in the industry. The resale value on the went through the roof right after the Comic Con. And those lucky to have profited from them or where just lucky enough to have added them to their collection. Left everyone leaving the San Diego Comic Con very happy. The list goes from 1 to 20, 20 being the number 1 toy of SDCC 2012. Masters of the Universe Celebrates 30 Years @ San Diego Comic Con
I’m sure everyone has heard that DC Comics recently launched a Masters of the Universe comics series. But did you know that Masters of the Universe started off as mini-comics and toys in 1982 (the year I was born)? Then the series moved to cartoons then to a 1987 movie starring Dolph Lundgren. Those who are lucky enough will get to see all the brand new toys along with some collectors ones at the “Preview Night” for the press at the San Diego Comic Con featuring new toys from Mattel and a comic book series from Dark Horse. Sailor Moon Anime Series Revamp Slated for 2013
I don’t know if I should be happy about this or not. But another one of my childhood animes is getting a revamp. Word of a new version of Toei Animation’s popular Sailor Moon is in the works summer of 2013. Originally created by Naoko Takeuchi in 1992, the iconic Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon character will be the star of a new anime series, co-produced by Kodansha Comics. This news comes after the Manga has celebrates its 25th anniversary. Not much more information out about the revamp other than Momoiro Clover Z will provide the show’s theme song. Funny how I have the original theme songs on tape cassette lol. I will be interested in seeing how the series turns out. How about you were you a Sailor Moon fan? Cartoon Network: Regular Show – Fancy Restaurant
So happy that there will be all-new episode of Regular Show entitled Fancy Restaurant next Monday July 16, 2012 on Cartoon Network at 8/7c. Muscle Man hopes to impress his girlfriends and her parents at a fancy dress up dinner. Do you think he will dress to impress or just get dissed? Check out the previews below.
Archie Meets Glee
This should be interesting I am neither a Archie Comics fan or a “GLEE” fan but this new talk of a cross over with these two does sound interesting. I do have a lot of respect for the Archie Comics series it has been a long-standing comic from before I was born so it must be doing something right. As far as “GLEE” it has been around for quite some time too and has a huge fan base. I think the outcome should be amazing. The cross over is set for later this year. More information about the collaboration will be unveiled at the San Diego Comic Con. Check out more comments below. Oh and I really like the campaign art don’t you?
Girl Skateboard x Sanrio 35th Anniversary – Team Skateboard Decks
This is kinda cool California company, Girl Skateboard has recently collaborated with Japanese icons from Sanrio. To celebrate Sanrio’s 35th Anniversary, which honestly it seems Sanrio is always having an anniversary! This limited edition collection is currently available in 12 popular characters from the Sanrio family at the DQM in New York. Check out more pictures below. Which one is your favorite?
The CW: The Batmobile Documentary
To continue the Batman hype untill the official theatrical release of The Dark Knight Rises July 20, 2012. In the mean time the CW station will premiere “The Batmobile” Documentary July 16, 2012 at 8:00 PM this will be a good watch for those of us who didn’t go to San Diego to see world premiere screening on July 12, where all six of the Batmobiles from film and television will also appear for the first time together. The only bad part of this documentary is that is only a half-hour special on the history and evolution of the Batmobile. The documentary features interviews from actors Christian Bale and Adam West, and directors Christopher Nolan, Joel Schumacher and Tim Burton. Make sure you make this down on your calendars!
Biggest Collection of Sega and Nintendo Videogames Sold for $1,230,699.99
Pretty big news today, seems everyone knew about before me. This might have been the biggest collection of Sega and Nintendo games (all in brand new condition) sold recently from eBay’er from France sold for: EUR 999,999.99 approximately US $1,230,699.99. From the looks of it looked they sold an entire store! I can’t belive someone bought it the shipping cost is definitely going to be insane. The Dark Knight Trilogy
Batman fans this is a great way to recruit all those non-Batman fans and get them up to speed with the latest epic Batman trilogy. IMAX is having a special viewing of all 3 Batman movies from the Christopher Nolan trilogy. Sit through 8 hr 45 min yes in a theater so bring some extra cushion for your bottom! Watch Christopher Nolan’s visionary tale in its entirety, starting with Batman Begins and The Dark Knight leading up to the midnight premiere of The Dark Knight Rises. Tickets are $25.00 for digital presentation and $40 to see the trilogy in IMAX. Admission price includes an exclusive trilogy poster while supplies last.
Cartoon Network: Adventure Time – Card Wars
Finally Adventure Time is back with an all new episode entitled Card Wars on Cartoon Network starting July 16, 2012. Not much about this episode yet other than Finn and Jake play Card Quest, an epic card game. Check out the short preview below.
