KISS Hello Kitty Animated Series Hits The Hub

Oh Hello Kitty you never cease to surprise me with your endless collaborations, I’m sure most of you were super excited about the (2010) Hello Kitty collection inspired by the 70′s ultimate glam rock band KISS. To add to the news Ms Kitty has signed on to a new animated series for The Hub. With an unexpected twist that will involve KISS. Now in development, KISS’ Gene Simmons is slated to be one of the executive producers and the show will feature four Kiss x Hello Kitty characters living their rock ‘n’ roll dreams and bringing pink anarchy to every situation they are in. Paul Stanley says: “Knowing and viewing The Hub as I do daily with my three children, it is the perfect home for us to bring the Kiss Hello Kitty juggernaut to yet another generation.”
Betsey Johnson Hello Kitty Art @ Openhouse Gallery NYC

On a lighter note I wanted to share a sneak peek at Betsey Johnson as she shows off her Hello Kitty art for the pop-show “Hello Kitty, Hello Art!”at the Openhouse Gallery in NYC.
The exhibition featured other favorite designers like Paul Frank and artists Dabs Myla and Tokidoki’s Simone Legno.
They all came together to showcasing their take on the most loveable Sanrio characters.

This Weekend “Hello Kitty, Hello Art!” @ Openhouse Gallery NYC

If you are looking for something today this weekend and happen to be in New York. There is a huge event called “Hello Kitty, Hello Art!” Sanrio‘s pop-up shop and gallery show at Openhouse Gallery starting Friday December 14, through Sunday 16, 2012!
Featuring art installation inspired by Sanrio characters designed by Dabs Myla, plus new works by Betsey Johnson, Pose Msk, Simone Legno, & many more!
I would like to see what Betsey has to offer!
Also heck out a sneak peek of what’s in store for men’s fashion from the latest Sanrio and Japan LA Clothing collaboration. The new line features fashionable pink plaid Hello Kitty Bowties. I think they could be warn by men and woman, and probably will be. Check the picture below.
Reebok x Sanrio Hello Kitty PT-20 Sneakers

New Reebok Sanrio Hello Kitty sneakers PT-20 revamped edition in three colorways: black (my favorite), white and pink, featuring an all over monogram Hello Kitty full-body, with metal red bow-shaped lace buckle, and gold stitching logo accents. These are only available, as of now in Asia starting August 20, 2012 (tomorrow). No word when they plan to hit US waters, stay posted for updates. Hello Kitty x Sonic The Hedgehog

This is cute Hello Kitty cosplay as Sonic The Hedgehog plush. Sega is celebrating the grand reopening of their Tokyo Joyopolis amusement park on July 14, 2012 which debut a new partnership with Sanrio company. The plush will be available at the park in late July. The collaboration will go worldwide during the summer of 2013. What do you think pretty cute right. I expect that we will see more of these cross over in the future from Sega and Sanrio.
Girl Skateboard x Sanrio 35th Anniversary – Team Skateboard Decks

This is kinda cool California company, Girl Skateboard has recently collaborated with Japanese icons from Sanrio. To celebrate Sanrio’s 35th Anniversary, which honestly it seems Sanrio is always having an anniversary! SDCC: Toynami Exclusives

Toynami has released pictures of their highly anticipated San Diego Comic Con exclusives. I have to admit I am pretty excited for these mash-ups check it out Skelanimals x The Dark Knight Rises plush; Sanrio x Street Fighter plushes, starting with the SDCC-excluisive Hello Kitty Chun Li plush (in Street Fighter Alpha attire); Pink plush Angry Panda; Naruto Nine Tails’ Chakra Mode action figure. Vintage 1976 Hello Kitty FAO Schwarz A Gallery of Historic Toys

If you have not been to FAO Schwarz in a while now is the time to go! On display is the very first Sanrio Hello Kitty collection introduced in the United States, to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of FAO Schwarz. The exhibit is going now through April 10, 2012. I actually had this hello kitty but her jumper was red and the ducky was yellow. With Sanrio tag dating 1976. But by the time I gave her up she just wasn’t as plush. Anyway visit “A Gallery of Historic Toys” and see vintage 1976 Hello Kitty plush, camera, pencil box, pencils, mini coloring set, puzzle, folding mirror, and comb! Along with several other nostalgic toys like Hot Wheels, Steiff Teddy Bears, Cabbage Patch Kids, Nintendo Entertainment System, and much more!
