Super Mario Bros. x New Era Japan – 8-Bit Mario Cap
New Era Japan has released a preview of their 2013 Spring/Summer Collection which features a Super Mario Bros. theme. The hat shown (above) is a 8-bit style Mario a perfect addition for any wardrobe of old school gamer. The collection will come 59FIFTY fitted caps and New Era‘s WM-01, the collection will include graphics showcasing Luigi, Bowser, Koopa Troopas, Goombas, and more. The entirety of the seasonal collection is now available via New Era Japan’s web store with the 59FIFTYs priced at ￥6,090 JPY approximately $62.00USD and the WM-01s at ￥4,725 JPY approximately $48.00USD.
The Magic Kingdom Hits Madison Avenue: Barneys Unveils ‘Electric Holiday’ Wednesday
Oh man I have been waiting for this since August and now the time has come to start the unveiling of what will probably be the coolest store fronts in history! I guess there are some perks living in NYC. This Wednesday (November 14, 2012) Barneys will unveil its collaboration with Disney in the Madison Avenue flagship windows in a animated short titled “Electric Holiday.” Looped on LED tiles that cover the two-story ground-floor facade on Madison Ave. Check out a preview of the cartoon, through the stills below. Featuring Steven Meisel, while Suzy Menkes, Franca Sozzani, Linda Evangelista, Sarah Jessica Parker, Mario Sorrenti, Carine Roitfeld. Juergen Teller, Anna Dello Russo, Lady Gaga, Julien d’Ys, Pat McGrath, Alber Elbaz, Nicolas Ghesquière, KCD’s Ed Filipowski, Cathy Horyn, WWD’s Bridget Foley, Daphne Guinness, Emmanuelle Alt, Glenda Bailey oh man the list keeps going. Watch as steps out in Minnie in Lanvin, Snow White in Nina Ricci, Daisy in Dolce & Gabbana, Goofy in Balmain and Mickey Mouse in a Balenciaga sweatshirt circa fall 2012. The Dark Knight Rises Movie NYC Premire & Black-Carpet Event
Tonight was the night of The Dark Knight movie premire concluding the Christopher Nolans Batman Trilogy. The film premiere was viewed at the AMC Loews Lincoln Square 13 in New York. Then the star-studded gang moved over to the “Black-Carpet”, after-party which is still going on at the The New York Public Library @ 42nd Street and Fifth Avenue. Guest of the premier included: Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Christopher Nolan, Tom Hardy, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Marion Cotillard. Disney’s Wreck-It Ralph Missing Mario & luigi?
Maybe you have been wondering why there was no word on Mario and other characters in the upcoming Disney film Wreck-It Ralph, well that question was asked yesterday at one of the panel discussion at San Diego Comic Con. After showing off footage from its upcoming video game tale, Wreck-It Ralph, hitting theatres November 2, 2012. Q&A followed, one question was asked to director Rich Moore, why there werent other notable and classic video game cameos seen in the first trailer. He replied: “Why would I talk about that certain mustachioed plumber guy?”, “And his brother, who wanted more money?” Basically it sounded like he wanted to include other icons in the movie, but couldn’t because of rights/money issues. We have seen this before in Toy Story with Mattel and Sesame Workshops with Disney’s The Muppets.

Check out this cool video game style, video from footwear and appreal company Nike. Promoting “sport” as the ultimate game, and athletes are the ultimate players. This video is introducing a whole new training platform. Where you can measure your score against your self, against your friends and against the world. The more you play, the better you get. 2012 San Diego Comic-Con Programming Schedule Thursday & Friday
So bummed I am not going to SDCC but at least I can look over the schedule list to see all the cool things I will miss! lol I have posted a few of the events within the main event itself, That I would have liked to go to. You can get the full list on Comic-Con.org. Check out what I posted below and let me know which ones you will be going to. Maybe my list will give you some inspiration but be warned it is long honestly I don’t know how I would have done it all. And this is only for Thursday and Friday! I will post saturday and sunday list once they release the schedule.
Dr. Mario Episodes 2, 3 & 4
As mentioned, this past week I am playing catch up with a lot of posting. Since my site is still currently under construction. So with that said I posted three new episodes (retroing two weeks) of the online mini-drama Dr. Mario Episode 2 featuring OMFGCata & CourtneyPants; Episode 3 featuring “Mike Tyson” and the follow up and latest Episode 4. There is not much other to explain (with out giving to much away) other Dr. Mario is getting conned by King Koopa, in return of helping Koopa will help him get back Princess Peach. But this is all just an allusion and Dr. Mario finds himself in a sticky situation in the ER and is put on probation. Watch all three episodes below.
Dr. Mario Episode HuskyStarcraft
Here is the first episode of Dr. Mario featuring wounded military agent HuskyStarcraft who must figure out how to save his life. Mario the House Doctor of a video-game Emergency Room must deal with severely discombobulated and hurt video-game character from all over the gaming world every mini episode. Dr. Mario does this all while trying to suppress his inner depression, of not “really” being a Doctor. He is self medicating himself to keep his sanity and cope with his inner demons, while having to deal with supervisor, DR. Hagger and by-the-book Dr. Zelda. Dr. Mario will face his hardest challenge he might have to save the life of his arch-nemesis Bowser. A new episode every Monday so stay posted. Watch the first episode below.
