Director Masaki Kitamura known for Mobile Suit Gundam 00, was arrested this past weekend for making a bomb threat. Osaka police analyzed the IP address that originated the threat and discovered it was linked to a high-speed wireless LAN device owned by Kitamura. Who was allegedly threatening the innocent with internet slurs “I will commit a massacre in Otaroad [in Osaka's Nipponbashi area] next Sunday. I will ram into pedestrian paradise, and after stabbing indiscriminately with a knife, I will commit suicide” on July 29 at about 9:45 p.m. Werid.

Gundam Front Tokyo Pepsi Nex Can Collaboration
There are so many recent collaborations with popular culture and soda companies this past month. I really need to start posting more about them. One of the most recent is the Gundam Front Tokyo and Pepsi Nex collaboration. The two have teamed up to produce a set of collectible Gundam cans (only those serious collectors of all stuff Gundam of course). There 8 collectible cans in total I have listed them below. Funny thing is I had my frist Pepsi the other day (in very long time) with a slice of pizza and I have to admit, it just wasn’t the same experience as the Coke Cola and pizza combination. Other then that there really isn’t a whole lot to say about these cans other than I wish Pepsi USA would do a similar promotion already. Maybe I would by more Pepsi! Which do you prefer Coke or Pepsi?

Gundam Front Mini Theme Park Opening April 19, 2012 Diver City, Tokyo Japan
Exciting news for Gundam fans! A new state of the art Gundam Front Mini Theme Park based of the TV show Mobile Suit Gundam is set to finally open April 19, 2012. Bandai‘s Gundam Front theme park will open at Diver City Tokyo this spring exhibiting all the giant robots, including the full-scale Mobile Suit Gundam RX-78 statue. Most of the park is free though there are special exhibits that will cost a little loot (1,000 Yen for adult visitors.) There is a huge hemispherical dome theater showcasing classic Gundam videos, an archive center and various spots for taking photos with models of Gundam characters. There are some free zones though which include Gundam gift shops selling exclusive park merchandise and a Gundam cafe featuring themed meals and snacks. Can’t wait to visit the park myself how bout you?

Japan Post Dragon Ball Kai Postage Stamps

If you are the lucky few that live in Japanese the postal service has recently announced a new issuance of postage stamps inspired by Dragon Ball Kai anime series. The set is the 17th in Japan Post’s “Anime Hero Heroine Series.” Previous stamps in the series have included Patlabor, Pokémon, Gundam, Galaxy Express 999, Detective Conan, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Future Boy Conan, and Manga Nihon Mukashi Banashi. The stamps Dragon Ball Kai Stamps hit Japanese post offices January 23, 2012 each sheet will features two stamps of Vegeta, three stamps of Son Goku, two stamps of Son Gohan, two stamps of Piccolo, and Trunks. The branches of Japan Post will also stamp envelopes with special Dragon Ball Kai date stamps of Son Goku.
