Italian artist Roberto Vergati Santos takes superhero inspiration from DC and Marvel artist Admira Wijaya, Jim Lee, David Finch, Alex Ross, Derek Laufman, Ryan Meinerding, Alex Maleev, Gabriele Dell’Otto, Carlo Pagulayan, Jorge Pepelife, Adi Granov, Phil Noto…one step further. By rebranding these classic heroes he gives us a peek into the not so far future (give or take a superhero). There might be a day when our armed forces will be sponsored by are local gas station or grocery stores. We have seen sponsorship on athletes so it could just be a matter of time before our real life protectors are adorn in iconic branding logos. If you have ever seen the Japanese anime Tiger and Bunny, in the series each of the city’s superheroes work for a sponsor company and their uniforms also contain advertising for real-life companies (Like Pepsi and Softbank). Ok I have to admit I really want The Batman: Court of Owls Book & Mask Set. Which includes the best-selling epic The Court of Owls Batman #1-7, and a PVC Owl mask with white elastic band. I really was trying to snag a free one at one of the past convention last years but never managed to get my paws on one, so now I have to debate if I really want to invest $24.99 for the set, what do you think worth it? Batman: The Court of Owls Mask and Book Set (The New 52) the 160 page softcover written by Scott Snyder and features art by Greg Capullo and Jonathan Glapion will be released on October 2, 2013.

Which would have been some what normal IF the Tesla Model S wasn’t pink, with Batman wings and eyelashes? seriously come on! nothing screams The Dark Knight more than pink and eyelashes! Some say this was a belated Aprils Fools joke on Brin’s part, considering he posted on his Google+ page saying: “Huh. I don’t remember Batman fins as an option when I configured my Tesla.” Supposedly representatives at Google are looking into the matter and could not immediately provide comment. Tesla Motors currently does not offer its Model S in pink according to its website.

Longtime Tim Burton film composer collaborator Danny Elfman recently used his musical talents for the opening sequence to the 2013 adaptation of L. Frank Baum’s Oz the Great and Powerful. If I didn’t know better this opening sequence seems to have Burton style written all over it, what do you think? Danny Elfman and Tim Burton have joined artistic forces for more than 25 years. On other news to celebrate their 25 years of conjoined talents, on October 7, 2013 at the Royal Albert Hall in London, Elfman will sing publicly for the first time in 18 years, accompanied by the BBC Concert Orchestra, performing notable songs from Burton’s classic films, with original production artwork and drawings from the films to create a visual backdrop.
