Today in Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, Disney/Pixar held a special coronation for Brave’s Merida who has been officially inducted into Disney Princess Royal Court. Merdia sporting her new princess persona and dress was greeted by her mother Queen Elinor on stage, celebrating the bond between mother and daughters this Mothers Day weekend! Kevin McShane aka Cartoon Kevin
Artist/Cartoonist/Actor Kevin McShane also known as “Cartoon Kevin” has portrayed himself in 100 different variations inspired by famous cartoon characters and their respectable artist styles. This collection of caricatures took McShane, two years in the making. It was had for me to choose my favorites but I did like the Bill Plympton, John Kricfalusi, Ralph Bakshi and Terry Gilliam, ones only because I love them as artist so the homage to their art is pretty cool. Spaceship Earth Epcot Turns Into Mike Wazowski For Walt Disney World’s Monstrous Summer
To kick-off Walt Disney World’s Monstrous Summer, Disney held a press event which transformed Epcot’s Spaceship Earth (Spaceship Earth Epcot) into a giant Mike Wazowski head (body?) from Pixar’s Monsters Inc and Monsters University films. This also promotes the 24-hour “All-Nighter” special event where you can spend an entire day (and night) inside Magic Kingdom park! I have posted two videos below one is the test projection before the actual event and the other is the final projection in all its glory. What do you think the kids thought of it? I’m sure it gave some children the heebie jeebies! Monsters University hits theaters June 21, 2013.
Walt Disney World Monorail Blue Monsters University
Walt Disney World Florida debuted today a new promotional wrap for the Monorail Blue. Featuring the monsters alumni from the sorority and fraternity, Python Nu Kappa, Roar Omega Roar, Oozma Kappa and the Greek Council of Disney/Pixar Monsters University, releasing into theaters June 21, 2013. Disney x Glidden: Paints and Specialty Finishes
Disney has revealed a new line of paints and specialty finishes from the makers of Glidden paint. The new collection of exclusive paints take inspiration from the playful colors of Winnie the Pooh’s Hundred Acre Wood, Mickey Mouse and Friends, Pixar’s Cars and Monsters Inc., and the Disney Princess. The new Disney Paints will be sold exclusively through Walmart retailing for $13.47 per quart and $27.97 per gallon. The specialty finishes retail for $10.97 – $19.97 per quart and All That Glitters and Speck-tacular are also available for $29.97 per gallon. Each of the custom colors are designed in such away that the collection coordinates with Disney bedding products.
“The Disney Paint line is a magical collection of 112 exclusive colors grouped into three palettes, with imaginative Disney-themed names, designed to give parents and children options at every stage, from infant to tween,” said Jason Stewart, director of softlines product development for Disney Consumer Products. “This makes decorating with your child easy and fun – no matter the age.”
“With Disney Paint, parents can transform their homes into places where their kids will love to play, sleep and most importantly, make memories,” continued Stewart.

Pixar’s Inside Out Set for 2015
Disney/Pixar announced today that their upcoming animated feature film titled Inside Out, directed by Pete Docter, will open in US theaters on June 19, 2015. Not much has been release about the film other then this brief description. The inventive new film will take the audience to a place that everyone knows, but no one has ever seen: the world inside the human mind. The story will be told from the perspective of the emotions inside the mind of a little girl.
Pixar’s Monsters University New Images
Pixar’s Monsters University has release a two new images and revealed more actors who will be bringing these animated movie’s monsters to life. New voice talents lending their voices to the film are Nathan Fillion (Castle), John Krasinski (The Office), and Bonnie Hunt (Cheaper By the Dozen). Monsters University starts scaring into theaters June 21, 2013.
