The Simpsons Couch Gag Contest – Al Jean & James L. Brooks
Wow I think it has been a while since there was a Simpsons contest and this will top all of them – The Couch Gag Contest is an idea from Al Jean & James L. Brooks. 20 years of gags now it’s your turn. Submit your written idea for a Couch Gag 100 words or less to appear in the opening credits of The Simpsons, and if your idea is selected your gag will premiere at the season’s finale in May 2013. Here are some of the requirements: Your idea needs to be 2-D animation; it must be 30 seconds or shorter; it can’t have dialogue; it can’t have music; it can’t have brands or commercials; it must conform to broadcast standards; and it must use all five family members.
