Breaking news! Walt Disney Studios announced today that they have started on the upcoming 3D film “Maleficent” I has posted about this earlier this year so happy to see it is most definitely going into production. Based off the evil queen Maleficent Disney’s most beloved villain from the classic Sleeping Beauty (which happens to be one of my favorite fairy tales of all time!) tells the untold story of the events that hardened her heart and drove her to curse the baby princess, Aurora. Maleficent stars Academy Award–winning actress Angelina Jolie. Will be directed Robert Stromberg, making his directorial debut, produced by Joe Roth, and the storyline by Linda Woolverton. Executive produced by Angelina Jolie, Don Hahn, Matt Smith and Palak Patel. Co-starrs will include: Sharlto Copley, Elle Fanning, Sam Riley, Imelda Staunton, Miranda Richardson, Juno Temple and Lesley Manville. Maleficent is scheduled for release March 14, 2014.
