Laika Animation Studios known for the stop-motion animation “Coraline” and this Summers release of “Paranorman.” The Laika team is already starting on a new project titles “Goblins,” an adaptation of a British novelist Philip Reeve’s book. Marc Gustafson animation director from “Fantastic Mr. Fox” will direct. Goblins plans to be a 3D, stop-motion animation telling the story of a Skarper, a clever young goblin who lives among his ill-mannered bretheren in an ancient castle. Only he understands that an ancient evil is rising that will bring all manner of monsters and mythical creatures into an epic magical conflict. The film is set for release late 2013.
