There were not many of us that can REALLY say we grew up with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles at least the original TMNT, unless you were born in the early 80′s. I think that is when the cult was formed. This piece of art work is for the eyes only of those who were really there in the 80′s. This is Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird first ever drawing of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles from 1983. The duo premiered the book at the Portsmouth comic convention May 5th, 1984. Thirty years later the TMNTs became a world-wide phenomenon featured in cartoons, toys, and movies. And it all started with this single drawing which is now currently up for auction that will run till May 10, 2012 at 10:00 P.M. central time, through Heritage Auctions.
