Cartoon Network – DC Universe – DC Nation Shorts 2012


Cartoon Network will be starting 2012 with loads of new animation entertainment its latest added to the list is part of the DC Universe block, the DC Nation Shorts will be showcasing a number shorts consisting of Plastic Man, Super Best Friends Forever, Doom Patrol, Batman, Lego Batman, Amethyst Princess of Gemworld, Teen Titans, Blue Beetle and Gotham City Impostors. The shorts will debut alongside Green Lantern: The Animated Series and Young Justice. The shorts are produced by the creative team at Warner Bros. Animation.

Robopocalypse film 2013


Robopocalypse by Daniel H. Wilson is a New York Times best-selling science fiction book of 2011. The book has word that a film adaption is in the works which will be financed by 20th Century Fox and Spielberg’s DreamWorks with a release date set for July 3, 2013. Yea seems like a long ways away but time flies especially in Hollywood. In the meantime you should read the book! Disney/Pixar Mail a Smile 2012


In 2012 the post office will get a whole lot more animated with its next set of stamps from the Disney/Pixar’s Mail a Smile compilation that has been going on since 2004. Disney/Pixar’s has picked a unique set characters to remind us of our fears and foibles, challenges and victories, and make us laugh while doing so. These familiar faces will lift our spirits and reminds its time to smile with “Mail a Smile.”

Le Tableau animated film


A new French animated movie entitled Le Tableau aka Table is about a few unfinished paintings that venture out to look for their creator and find adventure along the way. Table or Le Tabbleau is an animated film directed by French Jean-François Laguionie. The film was released in France November 23, 2011. It mixes animation sequences or two-dimensional graphics rendering in 2D and live action. The animation and artwork in this film is pretty amazing along with the original storyline idea of art work having feelings and too.

Leaf Men by William Joyce – Blue Sky Studios – May 24, 2012


If you had not heard earlier this year there was a war of studios Pixar and it’s underdog Blue Sky Studios were fighting for the rights to adapt the popular children’s book The Leaf Men and the Brave Good Bugs written and illustrated by William Joyce into a 3D animated film. Pixar fell short and Ice Age’s Chris Wedge will next direct Leaf Men with finance through Fox Animation and production from Blue Sky Studios.
The Leaf Men book follows a troop of bugs that try to save a garden from an evil spider queen. The bugs turn to a mythical Leaf Men to help them win the battle. The book is known for its vibrant and detailed illustrations so I can’t wait to see how the animation will turn out.

Napoleon Dynamite cartoon – Fox – Animation Domination
