The live action remake G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra debuts in theaters August 7, 2009. The film is directed by Stephen Sommers, produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura and written by Stuart Beattie. The international filming took place in California, Prague, Australia, the Sahara, the Arctic, Paris, Moscow, and Washington, D.C.
