Transformers “Revenge Of The Fallen” and G.I. Joe “The Rise of Cobra” Super Bowl 43

Today there is a huge amount of hype surrounding the United States, Super Bowl 43, (starting 6pm eastern time). This year it’s Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Arizona Cardinals, though these teams don’t have much rivalry as other super NFL teams, people will be glued to their tubes today. There will be a lot of sneak peeks of up coming comic/cartoon movie adaptations trailers. Allot of these trailers have been leaked on the worldwide-web so it’s not super new news, to those who don’t watch anything other then their computers. As far as the rest of the world it’s a day anticipation and excitement. In a previous post Dreamworks and Intel are planning on a super cool 3D animation experience with the new cgi film Monsters vs. Aliens.

Kung Fu Panda wins big at 36th Annie Awards

DreamWorks Animation, film “Kung Fu Panda” kicked butt at the 36th annual Annie Awards virtually winning every feature-related category the international animation society ASIFA offers and earning additional kudos for its videogame and “Secrets of the Furious Five” short film tie-ins. DreamWorks Animation hasn’t seen one of its CG features take the Annies’ top prize since 2002 but there year took home 15 awards. Fellow Oscar nominees, “Wall-E” and “Bolt,” went home empty-handed.

CIA Agent accused of being a spy and hid cash in Playstations

Accused Spy and former CIA Harold Nicholson is a traitor to his country. He pleaded guilty in 1997 to selling the identities of fellow CIA officers to Russians, and he’s been languishing in a Federal prison since then, serving 23 years. Now Nicholson’s son Nathan is following in his espionage fathers footsteps, Nicholson’s has been using his son to meet with foreign spies since 2006. Nathan Nicholson a former Army paratrooper, had returned from his visits with the Russians with at least $35,000 in cash, some of it in a PlayStation video game case. The money was intended in part to settle a “pension” that Harold Nicholson said was owed him from his days as a C.I.A. spy for the Russians before his arrest in 1996, the prosecutors said. via: newyorktimes

Super Bowl Sunday Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Arizona Cardinals is approaching and Intel and DreamWorks plan to show their 3D collaboration in a Super Bowl 3D extravaganza this Sunday. The Super Bowl ad sponsored by DreamWorks Animation, Intel, and NBC will feature a 3D trailer of the animated movie Monsters vs. Aliens, coming out in March. A second spot will be a 3D commercial for PepsiCo’s SoBe LifeWater energy drinks.  More >

Watchman anti-hero: Rorschach first glimps

Watchmen director Zack Snyder is launching a his own website cruelfilms.com, for his production company Cruel and Unusual Films. To celebrate and promote his new site, Snyder has leaked a never-before-seen image from the opening scene from Watchmen movie that is due out March 6, 2009. The image is one of the first glimpses audiences will have of the film’s anti-hero, Rorschach. via: superherohype
