This years New York Comic Con has a huge list of special guest appearance by so many influential contributors in the comic/art scene.  This years special guest, Arlen Schumer will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Twilight Zone, with an exclusive multimedia presentation on his own book: “Twilight Zone Forever” will be featured, February 6th, 2009 at 7pm in the Javits center during the NYCC.

    

The multimedia production will feature awesome visuals and audio sounds from the original Twilight Zone tv series, along with an in-depth presentation by Arlen him self. Arlen will dissect the Twilight Zone and will show behind the scenes inspiration of the tv series. Arlen will make comparisons influenced by 20th century surrealist which follow the Twilight Zone theme and how the later impact of the show helped defined American pop culture.

February 7th Arlen and friends will invite everyone to come enjoy more exclusive commentary from the multimedia event in a more intimate setting at Monkey Town 58 North 3rd Street, Williamsburg Brooklyn @7pm.

Also Arlen will be doing a speical mini marathon of classic Twilight Zone episodes that he coins the “The Five Themes of the Twilight Zone” on Sunday at the Javits center 1:30 to 4.

Arlen is known as a comic book historian and was tagged as ”one of the more articulate and enthusiastic advocates of comic book art in America.” by Comic Book Artist magazine in 1998.
