Akiba Fest the Japaneses Pop music showcase, out promoting its latest event though it’s still pending a date will be some time early 2009, the location I was told will be in Washington DC, Moresay will definitely be there to check out this event and will keep you posted on the set date!
Anime Festival day 1 & 2 highlights
Moresay was privileged to check out the Animation Festival, New York location was Jacob Javits Center. Pictures from the event lots of cosplay sword fighting, dancing & running a muck definitely a scene for those young at heart! the convention center was converted into an Anime wonderland the theme was Ninjas and Lolitas and everything in between, this is definitely the place to be if you crave Japanese Anime culture.
Decoy, is a familiar name in the Washington DC area, you can see her work in the streets, restaurant (check out Luna Grill) & in galleries. Recently Decoy has expanded her illustration creativity into fashion providing animated trend through unisex ties, check out the Charlie Brown inspired tie!!!! 8/10/08 DC Design Babes along with sponsors RTCRM & Viget Labs (responsable for the prizes) came together @ FLY CLUB for its first: Mini Munny Marker Sketching Contest: 210 artist partispated and the club was packed. Annie Riker’s “Money Tree” won the 1st place & Kunal Vijayakar came in 2nd for his Munnia “The Supera”.
