Wednesday October 4, 2014 ICv2 Conference Comics Ahead! took place at the Jacob Javits Center during the set up of the 2014 New York Comic Con. Aside from the NYCC panels ICv2 is a big reason I attend New York Comic Con, so thankful I was able to attend a second year. ICv2 is a small gathering of reporters, data collectors, and popular culture expertise-all the obvious comic geeks, whose sole intent is to understand and dissect the steady incline of comics in popular culture-a seed planted by the fathers of golden age. ICv2 connects the dots to the modern day popular culture customers from their heads to their hands and where they are headed next, through intense research and measured information. ICv2 conference aggregates comic and manga industries with other popular culture related subcultures all within the world wide geek…in simple terms there are comics everywhere and comics have opened the door the mainstream pop enthusiast. Below is my recap of the 2014 ICv2 conference below.
Here is a first look at Tim Burton’s Big Eyes trailer, a film set in the 1950′s and 60′s following the scandal of Walter Keanea a man who was claiming to have painted the kitsch paintings of large-eyed waifs, the credit belongs to his then wife Margaret Keane, who was the actual artist. Tim Burton’s Big Eyes tells the story of the heated divorce between Walter and Margaret’s paintings- Walter was accused of stealing Margarets works and selling it as his own. Below is a first look at Tim Burton’s Big Eyes trailer which scheduled to be released on December 25, 2014, by The Weinstein Company.
